We will be moderating harshly in this thread. Think twice before you post. Things we are watching for: image macros, balance whining, "eagles", player bashing etc. We encourage civil and reasoned critique of our moderation - please post it in the website feedback forum.
Please don't complain about MLG stream quality or MLG itself. They work very hard to provide you with an enjoyable service.
Enough with the racism discussions, this is a LR Thread. Cut it out. -- updated 7:55 KST |

I could see a 1-4 for select since his group was nasty, but tyler is just... very standard and a bit predictable(even if he's awesomely good) so loosing to him was a... surprise. Didn't expect ret to be able to beat select either but yer... Just hope he does well, since what's not to love about this beast of a man.
I think Tyler is rapidly improving... starting to come to form. Took a game off Idra in NASL, beat Select, just took out Vibe. Personally I think he's favoured against Major/Princess/whateveryoucallhimnow. We'll see how it goes.

Yea this is getting disgusting. Even when the guy is super manner someone people find a way to make it into some negative thing and shit all over him. When did this community become so vile

What are consolation matches? Damn, thought I finally understood this tournament and now something new pops up again. It's the same with any tournament that has a seed, they are determining where he places over all (between 21st and 24th), by playing him against other players in that range. Simple.

I dunno why more people don't use their stalkers to protect the ball from ghosts like MC. Because most people are not on MC's level. Inc mannered . Well it's not that hard, just requires using 2 control groups. Oh, nevermind. You say that, but how many control groups did Select use for his army? What about Boxer? His entire 1 army control group! then a second one for Ghosts *rolls eyes* It is not about control groups, it is about positioning, control clicking is enough but you need good reflexes. If it was as easy as you think it is then why not do it? Well the way MC does it, roaming around with his blink stalkers to protect the main ball, you pretty much do need 2 control groups. As an added bonus it means sentries don't get trapped behind stalkers unable to FF properly.
It's different for MMMVG because you usually want your units in a ball or very close to it, so control clicking is fine there.

I think if incontrol gets kicked out of groupplay, he will never get there again

You mean vibe. Nah I mean in the Group C Tyler 1-4 Select 0-5 Tyler is good but I would think after that game SeleCT would beat him, I didn't see the games do I dunno how they played out I doubt it. Select's macro isn't great, floating almost 2k minerals 14mins into the game shouldn't really happen at his level. If InControl waited for Charge that game could have easily gone his way, even considering how much damage SelecT already did.
Select was so far ahead after the marine push that it didn't matter.

hey curious does anyone have a vlc link? I saw a gom one some pages back

Here is how select won: 90 SCVs
as a toss is hard to get a read on this, but your best response is to get 90 probes yourself.
Otherwise, if you kill ~10 scvs you are only doing the terran a favor
