We will be moderating harshly in this thread. Think twice before you post. Things we are watching for: image macros, balance whining, "eagles", player bashing etc. We encourage civil and reasoned critique of our moderation - please post it in the website feedback forum.
Please don't complain about MLG stream quality or MLG itself. They work very hard to provide you with an enjoyable service.
Enough with the racism discussions, this is a LR Thread. Cut it out. -- updated 7:55 KST |

What do you mean, "Now you know what it felt like". The problem was their were to many scrub Zerg's like yourself just copying other builds, because of this their were no builds created, instead everyone just doing the same old roach hydra.

He is playing straight up macro games he is showing why if you don't chese or do a timing atack (all in) you just lose vs zerg I kind of agree. It shows Protoss can't win in a straight up macro game. You need to harass, you cannot let Zerg macro like that. No it shows that Naniwa fell behind significantly in economy and paid the price... What do you suggest Naniwa doing? Taking a 3rd so he dies even earlier? Perhaps doing something during the time Losira is making 1231231 drones ?? You can safely get a third up around the same time as a zerg if he just sits there and masses drones like losira is doing. Yeah, if he mases drones, but what if he is massing an army ? How can you know what he is doing ? Allucination.

He clearly has no concept of agression or timings or unit selection or macro or map control or mind games or anything really.
WHY AM I NOT GRANDMASTER TOP TEN??

And ran speedlings into naniwas base A move? He was microing all that time. He did dual attacks, kept on microing everything during that time. He just did a crazy strategy that involved 3 base drone pumping into just a bunch of roach lings. I mean, he had 4 hatcheries BEFORE he had his lair. How crazy is that! During the entire time he was attacking he kept macroing, and reinforcements just kept on swarming in. His entire strategy was beautiful. It really wasn't. I'm not gonna detract from Losira here because he DID completely outplay Naniwa, but his play was anything but beautiful. Idra against MC was beautiful. This was standard. 4 bases before lair is standard? GTFO By standard I mean not anything special.
Yes, that's right, I'm saying 4 bases before Lair wasn't really that special.

Maybe you should try that against him.
He made a read on naniwa, and decided to take the risk of staying low tier, taking early third, massing drones.
That is a HUGE risk (in fact any one of those is enough to kill you in a standard game) to take if he isnt confident in his read of his opponent.
Get out of bronze before you comment on any player.

I dunno what to think about this, seen many games unfolding like that (idra vs mc, losira vs nani etc.). Seems like even perfect forcefields can't save toss players.
2-base timing attacks are the only thing that works. Usually you would just pressure but then the Zerg just runs Roaches and Lings into your natural, so you might as well go allin.

Most people just think that there are players that deserve his spot in the pool play way, way, way more. I must say that I'm one of them, if you see for example DeMusliM deserves to get that spot more, or someone like Axslav, MajOr etc.

You have solved protoss for now just try not get complacent or we will continue to see this 75/25 PvZ flip flop lol I dont think there is a single matchup that shifts so much back and forth so violently as this one :p Rofl, honestly how dumb are you guys. Stop complaining because the no.1/no.2 ZvPer in the world beat a top foreigner protoss... Ya really... people tend to forget this is LOSIRA playing, he doesn't represent the whole ladder... Play more, complain less, and don't base the entire state of SC2 off of one result / tournament... I agree this isn't the time or place to complain. But you have to admit that it isn't just Losira who has figured out the ZvP matchup.

Seems like the time were foreigners could compete with koreans are finally over, again. Foreigners can still compete with Koreans, but the very best Koreans (Second-best Korean Zerg) are still better than the very best foreigners. It isn't to the point where top foreigners can't even compete with b-team and practice partner Korean's but it looks to be slowly getting there. Foreigners need to recognize they are slowing falling behind, and the mindset of "I'll practice just enough to beat the players in my region" won't cut it when they participate in international tournaments.
I'd say its getting better. Our resident low-ranked Korean (Moon) trashed every foreigner at IEM, but is getting beaten by random foreigners this weekend.
