We will be moderating harshly in this thread. Think twice before you post. Things we are watching for: image macros, balance whining, "eagles", player bashing etc. We encourage civil and reasoned critique of our moderation - please post it in the website feedback forum. Please don't complain about MLG stream quality or MLG itself. They work very hard to provide you with an enjoyable service. Enough with the racism discussions, this is a LR Thread. Cut it out. -- updated 7:55 KST

It would be cooler to have them play other people instead, especially since it's very much possible. But when you mix it with extended series it's just down right retarded! >_< Maybe it's to increase the frequency of extended series's? And the extended series idea exists so that a player beating another previously in the same tournament matters? I dunno if that's a good thing, but perhaps they think it is.

The SC2 marathon was a generous but dangerous idea for TLO. It seems his carpal tunnel syndrome is not completely cured, and playing 24 hours non stop was bound to put a lot of pressure on his wrists and nerves. He's obviously talented, but he has not being in top form for months and months. Tyler did OK on a very difficult pool, but training for one or two weeks before huge events is not enough now to really perform. Good showing from Ret and Hayder. Playing in Korea paid off at last. They handled the pressure well, and had some really good results. Overall, it was an OK performance for team liquid, but the structure of the brackets will hide it because they will all play against each other. EG was disappointing. Of course, Idra had a dominant showing, and he may even win the all thing (i doubt it though). Machine and InControl had a poor showing, going 2-3 in probably the weakest pool. They didn't look good at all, specially InControl with some cheese at all match ups. He took the right decision leaving SOTG, you can't be a top player and a showman at the same time. The rest of their roster (Axslav, Strife, Demuslim) lost pretty soon. The small SixJax gaming was pretty impressive on the other hand. Vibe and Major showed real potential.

They could perhaps seed the highest rated 16 players so they wouldn't have to face each other until the late stages of the tournament, say Ro16. Would make it a lot easier to understand. It's not about making it easy to understand for spectators who doesn't want to think more than 2 minutes. It's about finding the truly best player of the tournament.

Seems like the format is structured where two players who met in Pool play before are very likely to meet. A, B, C, D refers to the specific group the players were from in Pool play. B A B A C D C D D C D C A B A B Would like to see them change it up such that there is a very unlikely chance of players rematching each other in the championship bracket until they've "ran the gauntlet" so to speak. Something like this: A B C D D A B C C D A B B C D A Hope you get what I mean... it would have prevented the Liquid guys from all being in the same bracket.

Everything else is near perfect.

And wasn't Axslav in the CB? Losing to Cruncher there? I am dissapointed about DeMu though, huge fan and I hoped he would do better.
