Stop with the excuses, he was outplayed.

That was a completely micro oriented situation. No outplaying happened.

He out microed him, thus he outplayed him. MC choose the strategy, he only has himself to blame, not lag.

It's pvp, every strategy requires micro.

For the record, I'm on vacation in Thailand right now and I've tried playing from SEA to NA with some friends. It's extremely difficult to micro, and I'd imagine KR to NA is similar (from what people like IdrA have said, I'd imagine so). I literally can't forcefield properly, nor can I do subtle unit movements with good precision. Don't know if this example is too relevant, but lag is definitely pretty bad from these distances in my experience.

Definitely interesting to hear, even if it's just confirming what we've heard before

Always thought people who think lag literally isn't a factor are kidding themselves

Im gonna flip out. I mean I am watching 1080 and if I'm not mistaken the only way to get 1080 is to pay for the stream, SO WHY WOULD THEY HAVE ADDS enabled for this stream? Not to mention being logged in, man NASL just continues to be a failure for me. First 5 weeks lag issues, now that it seems to be running good I am getting blasted with adds.

oh no, you have to watch an ad instead of a timer countdown for 1 minute in between games.

yes oh no, I paid for the right not to have to sit through it.

I am watching it through the TeamLiquid Link, I have logged out and back of justin.tv, made sure that my browser remembers me, this happened to me last night as well so Im not sure whats going on.

It is hard to not blame lag when MC is doing so poorly in the NASL. He is 18-3 in PvP games on TLPD.

This. His PvP record is ridiculous and so far, most of the PvPs he's dropped has been in online tournaments . You can't say that correlation means nothing.

he barely won against White-Ra at Dreamhack and White-Ra isn't known for his good PvP in Europe.

Okay, you have a single cherry-picked example. Way to ignore the rest of MC's PvP record. You prove nothing.

There aren't many PvPs against foreigners to pick from.

How can people say it's lag issues for MC? I mean Ace doesn't seem to have any problems playing on NA. In fact the majority of the koreans are doing extremely well in NASL.

I think the bigger issue is MC is taking NASL too lightly. He probably doesn't prepare anything specific for the games or review anything about his opponents. I bet his cockiness is what is holding him back.

White ra also lost MC 3-0 in which white ra was the 4 gate aggressor in the first 2 games.

I'd try to watch via JTV or right on nasl.tv. Those are my only ideas.

nice hold by MC, not every day you see a toss who expands first win against 1 base

Omg the expanding toss wins yaaaaay.

All I'm hearing is excuse after excuse.

No I didn't even watch the 1st game. I'm just saying that in pvp you can't really decide on a strategy that isn't heavily influenced by latency - they all are.

Hasu delayed the attack just a few seconds too late.

If game 2 proves anything, it's that MC should not rely on micro based timing attacks to win in the NASL. The latency has to be affecting his ability to micro.

Why did you back off HasuObs, you were ahead after the first fight and could have crushed MC's army in the seconds before his colossus came out...
