Attacking into the natural is a horrible decision because with the third dead you have effectively forced zerg to make tons of units to defend, which means when your army arrives you WILL get overwhelmed. He should have done a slowpush to deny the third while expanding, then reinforce, THEN attack.

He was already ahead, he should have consolidated his economic lead and closed out the game instead of take a risk that could potentially lose him the game in order to try and win 10 minutes earlier.
