Quad proc is useless for SC2 though. Most programs aren't optimized for multiple cores. A dualcore (i5) with greater ghz works better for sc2. And anyway the gxf card is the bottleneck, but anything better than a HD5870 is good enough, no need for crossfire (double gfx card)
Edit: oh wait no i was thinking of most games. sc2 is cpu limited but cant use multiple cores well, nvm

I know that, SC2 isn't graphics card limited but rather CPU limited, it can make use of 3 cores so you preferably want a Sandybridge i7, however you need to have it overclocked to around 5.0Ghz whereas laptop CPUs with turbos go up to like 3.4Ghz at max with only 1 core in use and the turbo goes lower the more cores you're making use of so an effective max would be around 3.0Ghz and that would be for a ~2000$ Extreme CPU. Also, it's just about a deathwish to attempt to overclock them so you'll never get to the 5.0Ghz and your desk is likely to burst in flames if you try to overclock even to like a constant 3.5Ghz without turbo. Most laptops can't be overclocked anyway.

Also a big point why MKP SHOULD prefer to be on other side of bracket of MVP is because there might be a .0001% chance someone would knock out MVP before he got to final.

SC2 (like all Blizzard games) is cpu heavy and perfectly optimized for quadcore cpu ^^'. With low settings you can play it on almost every setup.
