I take it the additional ~£200 taken from the signups are for the summer event?

This sucks. I'd love to go, but the rail ticket from where I live, would be probably more expensive than 1st place prize. So it's not really worth the whole trip. Not to mention that the trip itself would be like 2-3 rail transfers and like 5 hours. >_<

Yes, I just hope people don't forget this is LAN event the costs of venue, staff and production is a lot more than this alone but we have a very kind sponsors and staff who do all this for free. So hope people pass on their thanks.

Of course I understand, however, paying £10 for an event where if you come even 3rd, you only get £5 back on your payment. Out of curiosity, is the invite to the finals covered in the price, or is that another payment required?

Is that a different Ginjaninja. or an error.. I didn't sign up for this event as I'm some 6000 miles away (as much as I'd have loved to been there... last event was awesome) just wondering because i got an email yesterday about the event.
Hopefully it's a big enough success to keep being an annual thing, would love to attend more when I'm back in the UK. Will be checking in the Leon's stream throughout the day.

Silly fun times watching the wonders of Bronze league overseen by 6 other players. Shocked to find myself actually win a match I was still eliminated Looking forward to the ensuing finals. GL to everyone.

Should've been there but I was up til stupid 'o clock and slept in.
I was rooting for Narf but unfortunately he didn't quite make it past the RO16. :'(
Been hanging out in the JTV chat and watching the stream all day though! Some good games!

Results updated, Congrats to CadenZa. Due to seemples already have a quali spot 4th place with be offered the place.
Big thanks for the support to the usual crowd and all the new faces, We understand things weren't prefect so any feedback is welcome, Final's we will be looking for more staff to ensure the complete smooth running of not only the gaming at the event but the streams and coverage.
