A player's history can be very misleading when they are employed in a team league. There are a lot of factors at play in every match, so history, especially small like the past several months (read: entire GSL history), isn't that important. A player may be concerned with something outside the tournament or even the game itself. They may have been outplayed due to metagame considerations. Metagame considerations are exactly what the issue is in team leagues. A player is only selected to play if people think they're prepared to win. Players usually focus on maps and matchups for team leagues. In individual leagues, a player needs to be prepared for multiple maps and has little choice over which players he faces. In a team league, a player is chosen for specific circumstances. What I'm saying is that if he was chosen for this matchup, on this map, he is ready for it. This is particularly pointed seeing as this is a map that has seen virtually no play. Zenio could be a beach sniper, he could have practiced his vP exclusively for the past week. You never know. | ||
