With 14 drones on 2 bases, it's pretty likely he would have turtled for awhile to produce workers. Idra's second hatch was almost complete. He had more workers and Sen hadn't even drone transferred yet to his 2nd hatch. (Probably wouldn't have for awhile since banelings are a lot harder to stop into the natural expo which is why I think he would have turtled his roachs). All in all, for a supposed macro player like Idra... there was no reason to gg there. damn it. macro of players at this level isn't that big of a difference, especially in zvz oov in bw is a macro player, best is. but in sc2, it doesn't do that much of a difference.

I mean losing that game isn't the biggest deal in the world since Idra will still probably get top 2 in his division but IMO if you take yourself seriously as a progamer you should treat every game like it is a GSL final. Tired of all these comments. These are some of the best players in the world and in order for idra to win Sen had to MAJORLY fuck up i mean like accidently kill his expo or sneeze and move all his units without A move. Maybe comebacks are possible in whatever league youre in but it wouldnt have worked in that game

Apparently, Idra's early GG timing is due to preserving his "mental game." He doesn't want to exhaust himself trying to claw out of a disadvantageous situation, so he attempts to save his energy for another match.

It means Sen is playing cautiously, unsure of whether Idra is going towards a macro game or an all in. It means Idra had the opportunity to win if Sen didn't react correctly, pushed out too soon(and let Idra surround him), etc... I'm aware he was getting an expo. It wasn't anywhere near done. He was going to be way behind on production for a fair amount of time. I'm guessing you don't know much about ZvZ, because ling surrounds don't do much to roaches once you get past 8 or so.

I'm just pointing out his macro isn't bad to the point where he can't overcome it and win. He was down but not by much. I think we recently saw someone overcome a much larger disadvantage today.
