I don't mind drama and ocassional rivalries at all, but that was simply pathetic. There's a difference between good joke/witty sarcrasm and just stupid name calling like a 13 years old kid. I wonder how all of you who say "don't be such a pussy, just ligthen up bro" would react, if there was Cruncher in Idra's spot and said something along the lines "A random skinny nerd who spent his best years beeing alone and cleaning up in korean pro house, while acomplishing there, said hi" ? (not saying this is my opinion) You would most likely start calling Cruncher incredibly cheap, clasless, etc. You're speaking of someone who has in many people's eyes cheated on the ladder vs Idra, who BMs Idra himself, and also has contributed to giving Idra this long time ban.

It shocks me Idra even has the nerve to behave like that when he is freaking 20 years old. I guess playing videogames all day isn't the best way to mature.

Is it attempt to justify Idra's behaviour? The "cheating" topic was already discussed to death, Idra was the one who was at the beginning of all their BM and saying Cruncher contributed to Idra's ban is just plain ridiculous.

No matter what CrunCher previously did with IdrA, when doing public casting for eSports, IdrA's comments on other players should remain professional even when there are personal issues with the player. It's okay if IdrA's bias shows - all casters have a bias - just not okay to do ad hominem attacks on another player on air like he did.

You are in a EXTREMELY small minority of people who are butthurt about todays cast. I imagine a lot of people who didn't enjoy idra's casting won't bother posting because they'd have to discuss it with typical idra fans.

Idra is the only reason Idra got banned, not Cruncher. Cruncher didn't stream cheat, people need to stop worshipping Idra just because he happens to be a Zerg and a foreigner. The truth is that the cast tonight was not professional at all and if it was any other league I'm sure he would've gotten booted from casting. edit: Also the description you gave of Idra was pretty spot on.

"Playground bullying" i can almost 100% say that Idra would have done his fair share of bullying in the playground and been all over the OPness of the race "teachers".

Mods probably won't like this, but how does this deserve a ban? On May 13 2011 13:30 mholden02 wrote: I find myself agreeing with those who find Cruncher insufferable. From what I have seen he is a classless individual in both manner and play style. And this passes? That name-calling players while your casting in what is supposed to be a professional league can pass as acceptable behavior is beyond me. Is it even possible to stoop any lower than name-calling people without a chance to defend themselves in front of 15k people? Bad show, nasl..

There are quite a lot of incredible biased sport casters that have long successful careers, often based on being douche bags. It all about drawing in the viewers and I would guess Idra fits into that spot. Like him or hate him, a lot of people tune in to hear what he's got to say.

IMO, Idra was fine up until the fat remark. Talk about the play, not the person. GGs. VRs are brutal and ensnares decision making was poor.

For the record, I'm neither shocked nor appalled, but I really don't think that events like this is good for esports long term.

In many people's eyes? There was no evidence that he cheated, he and IdrA both bad manner each other, it's not like IdrA is some innocent who is getting back at him for being bullied, IdrA contributed to his own long time ban, go look at his ban history and you'll realize that no one contributes more to IdrA's bans than IdrA himself. Even as someone who isn't a fan of Cruncher, it's obvious that trash talking someone as the commentator is entirely unfair and inappropriate. This is what I was always worried about with IdrA's casting and pretty much what has put me off from it. He's great analytically, but as a commentator you have to respect both the players and the game they're playing, otherwise you can sour the matches by taking away from the most important aspect of the matches, the players involved.

I enjoy a good rivarly, whether its the canucks vs blackhawks or IdrA vs Cruncher. You guys need to scrub the sand outa ur vag and man up. This is entertainment. I need to scrub the sand out of my vagina and man up because I think it's unfair for a commentator to berate and insult a player while they're in a game with no way of defending themselves? Even if he was just picking apart his play, that would be more in line with what a commentator's job is in my opinion. If it was during an interview, or a podcast, or on his stream or even in-game when you're against the player, it'd be different, but not during a professional event where you are serving as the commentator.
