SjoW vs NightEnD - TvP on Terminus RE SjoW spawning at the 9 oclock and Nightend at the 6 oclock
+ Show Spoiler [Battle Report Game 1] +SjoW snipes the scouting probe with his first marine and goes a gasless FE from 1 barracks.
Nightend drops a Nexus off 1 gate which is scouted by SjoW's scv.
1 gate FE vs 1 rax FE
Nightend drops a robo from 1 gas, and then gets his 2nd gas. He is CBing an observer, while SjoW is teching towards a starport. Tech lab on the factory now but no barracks add-ons. Collossus tech halfway done for Nightend with SjoW opting for Siege Tech and banshees; SjoW taking a fast third, Nightend's observer is sitting on top of it.
Nightend is going for Collossus + gateway units while SjoW is using marine, tank and banshee!
SjoW sieges up outside of Nightend's natural, shelling his third and harassing with banshees. Nightend moves forward with his Collossus, and roasts some marines. SjoW is still harassing the third, Nightend attempts to go forward again, but is pushed back again. SjoW takes down the third with his siege tanks. Nightend is pumping out 2 immortals, trying to find a break to this contain.
SjoW takes a few banshees, takes down the cannon in the main and starts eating so many probes;
84 scvs vs 45 probes; SjoW in a commanding lead.
A fourth immortal joins the army, and Nightend moves in. The marines target fire the immortals. Nightend does a lot of damage to the contain but still cannot break it.
Nightend moves in again, but the immortals get target fired. The collossus are doing significant damage but the siege tanks are holding the line. No more collossus are being produced, just double immortals. SjoW has taken his 4th base, should probably invest in some upgrades.

Sigh, why's it so hard to seperate the concepts of one player playing above his normal level and one player playing below it. The 2 aren't mutually exclusive, even if Sen had rolled over him regardless it would still have been one of the better games I saw Bischu play.
---
Marine/Tank timing on the way for Sjow, seems very nicely timed. Slight misstep with marines, but good banshee harass @ the third and a nice position at Nightends choke.

Idra notices everything. Damn.
WP Sjow, this is pretty much done.

Sjow looking good in game 1. Contains nightend early and just squeezes the life out of him.

It's a Live Report thread. If I had not seen that game I would assume that Sen was thoroughly outplayed in that game, which was not the case at all. Bischu did nothing special at all that game to impress spectators.

SjoW vs NightEnD on Shakuras Plateau SjoW spawning at the bottom left position, Nightend at the top right
+ Show Spoiler [Battle Report Game 2] +Nightend gets a probe into SjoW's base but does not scout the second barracks! He drops the second barracks onto the low ground - looks like a fast rush. Nightend goes for the 1 Gate FE again, but SjoW is trying some early pressure with marines.
The marines catch the stalker at the Xel Naga Tower and it is put on red hp! 6/7 marines coming to his base and Nightend is supply blocked!
Nightend goes for robotics instead of extra gateways; SjoW's marines focus down the natural, which is allowed to complete? SjoW builds 2 bunkers at Nightend's natural.
SjoW salvages the bunkers, and backs out as an immortal comes out. Strangely; SjoW backs out - with a lead; stim is on the way and Nightend is clearing out the Xel Naga towers with a couple stalkers, an immortal and a sentry. Nightend has a warp prism; he elevates his army into SjoWs main;
SjoW moves back to defend, the zealots melt - scvs are pulled but SjoW has a large unit advantage. More units being warped in but SjoW has an army advantage.
Nightend did clean out all the scvs in SjoW's main but IdrA says it wasn't enough :p Nightend attempts another zealot drop but again it is cleaned up.

The thing is, Bischu 9 out of 10 times would have lost that game against a less complacent Sen. I wouldn't call that the 'one of the best games I've seen Bischu play'.. but that's just imho.

Nice, djWHEAT + IdrA casting. Good stuff. Let's go dignitas!

How many games have you seen Bischu play? =p
Well whatever, guess I'll termper compliments of a player playing better than he normally does with an asterisk about how he'd still have lost vs the better player if the better player played to 100% of his ability

Gogo Sjooooww
punishing greedy builds from Nightend

Worst case scenario for nightend. Early aggression from sjow vs a fast expand + tech (robo).
Nightend is also supply blocked. I'm not sure if he can defend this.

Ah, I thought NightEnD was going to cancel the nexus.

lol sjow trolling us or something

woww sjow owned that nexus

Hmm, the format/point calculations for this tournament seem a bit odd. Wouldn't it be better to just copy the old WC3L format? Each win = 1 point and you sum the points for each match. This would allow for more team differentiation as each team could get up to 7 points/match (that's excluding ace match). With introduction of bo3 for 2v2 it would go up to 8 and the ability to easily see close matches (8-5 for example) and clear domination (8-0).

While the decision to fall back was safe, I somewhat disagree with not even trying to poke up the ramp with atleast few marines, just to see what nighend had.
|
NightEnD's immortal was targeting the scv's and not the marauders... little bit of a blunder there. ~_~

ROFL KiwiKaki has left the game. so random

Nightend with Gosu immortal control, just wailing on the SCV's rather than any of the actual combat units lol.
Easy for Sjow <3
Well, hopefully Dignitas win the 2v2!
