On twitter? Let us know what you think with #tsl3 ! Help spread the word about today's amazing TvT! |
Haha how quickly we forget... you do realize that Thorzain just got done dismantling MC, an infinitely more accomplished GSL player than Bomber, right?
Yes, thorzains tvp is clearly top level, and can beat even the best korean protosses. However, his tvt is not nearly on the level of MVP or bomber. Kas is just not very impressive, and Bomber is on a completely other level.
|
Kas IMO didn't show his best play, maybe he was nervous, while Thorzain looks well prepared to Kas' style.
|
I wish that Chill and DJwheat would identify the real reason for Thorzain winning. Thorzain just has better macro than Kas.
|
finally i also get some ads ^^
|
I guess Thorzain trained hard past weeks considering he got torn apart by an terran Master Leauge player on the "Road to Korea" tournament, or its just a "setup series". Kas TvT is sick, and this is... not even close?

Thorzan is playing phenomenally well, but I can't help thinking Kas lost a lot of confidence after his loss to MC.

Thorzain is really good dont get me wrong but bomber with his 400 sc2 apm would not get picked apart the way Kas is. I daresay he would do the picking apart, even of thorzain. Haha how quickly we forget... you do realize that Thorzain just got done dismantling MC, an infinitely more accomplished GSL player than Bomber, right? Can we stop trying to make SC2 a math equation? You can't just say that MC > Bomber, and Thorzain beat MC, therefore he will absolutely beat Bomber. Thorzain is really good, and he probably could play a good series against Bomber, but there's absolutely no way you can make it that simple. Would love to see them play, though :-p
Haha you're the only one making a math equation out of this mate.

To be fair to Bomber he beat MVP who is a two-time gsl champion and was known for his strong tvt. I don't know who would win between Bomber and Thorzain, but i bet it'd be a great match to watch!

Bomber beat MVP far more convincingly than Thorzain beat MC === Dunno if Kas is nervous or what, but he really is playing badly. Kind of disappointing so far.
Dont know what is the point of comparing GSL results to an online tournament where its obvious the koreans werent playing to their full ability, i really doubt thorzain could beat mc , mvp , or bomber in gsl.(not only because of no lag, but because he has much less experience at a big live stage)

well lots of people watched for Husky/day9/koreans, there are a lot of really casual people that ONLY watch day9/husky stuff

Expected more people to tune in today, but it seems like many people are not really interested in watching those 2 players. must say i'm a bit disappointed by Kas until now, hoping he'll turn it or atleast win some maps. Good thing TSL seems to be making more fan favorites then.

I think Kas is surprised. He's always been a dominate force in TvT, and he probably expected ThorZain to practice like crazy but not to see this kind of style in his TvT and it's catching him off guard. While I love ThorZain, Kas' TvT has proved to be pretty versatile in the past, we could easily see him swing this back as it is a Bo7 and perhaps Kas' stability in the matchup (75% vs TvT?) will put him ahead as the series progresses.
Intense shit, love the mindgames and styles.

Kas will turn this around.

I have a feeling that Thorzain did his homework for this matchup and Kas didnt at all.

I just keep an eye on the minimap all the time. Can you name anything hotbid has missed? Start of banshee harras, marines going into Kas´s base. He got it eventually but like 7 seconds late. But otherwise doing awesome job, maybe even better than GSL observer.

I don't think these matches are showing us Kas choking, rather they're showing us just how fucking AMAZING thorzain is. I'm definitely a fan now.
