He tried saying it had something to do with a possible DNS change from one of the backbones maybe or something, but apparently they are being flooded by so many people complaining that they gave it high priority.. So maybe it will be fixed soon...

Was this a conscious decision to limit bandwidth use, or is it just a temporary thing? There's no way it was deliberate. Why would a ISP intentionally cut off a legal service like GSL? It's basically the reason people pay for high-speed internet.

Oh silly munkey, thats not how Canadian internet works. They fuck you sideways because there are government restrictions on competition. Rogers can do whatever they want to you without even a courtesy lick and you have to like it. Granted, it would be wierd to block gomtv specifically. Unless there are so many nerds using up bandwidth that they decided to block it. In which case, I hope they send some lipstick with their next bill, becuase I like to look pretty before I get fucked. Anyone know how long it would take to switch over to Teksavvy? is there a downtime?

Might as well just ride it out and see what happens. And there's no way we would generate enough traffic to warrant Rogers to block us like I said in the umpteen number of closed threads. torrents I can understand, but the number of GomTV users would be a drop in the bucket compared to Netflix or torrenters. And this is definitely a Rogers problem, I just tried it on my 3G on Mobilicity and gomtv.net loads fine...

I wasn't able to get on all yesterday and earlier today. Special thanks to GOM.sam again for working with us and Rogers to get this sorted out. Hope it's working for my fellow Rogers users.
