No. I'm sorry but that kind of logic only applies to non-boxer players. Boxer 3-0 just because he is boxer. And Naniwa 3-0 cruncher, just because naniwa is the lesser of two evils.
This, The Emperor does not abide by normal 'logic' 'Realistic' analysis will do you no good here!

Thtat is VERY intriqueing ! did WC3 actually prepared people to be better SC2 players than SCBW ??

Such a buzzkill with zero zergs left... Well it was good until now.

I'm half German half Syrian... who you think I'm voting for
CruncHer Hasu fighting.

considering how terrible the micro of many high level players has been, it's not a surprise WC3 players are starting to dominate
Broodwar players have the macro down but are slow to develop their micro
|
More interesting matchups and better casting combo today should be interesting...though yesterday's games were phenomenal nonetheless.

Boxer will take the series 3-1. He's going to the finals. You hear me! To the finals!
Cruncher in a bizare upset that will cause at least 100 bans of some sort in this very thread will take down naniwa just to screw with people. Setting up the most amazing semi finals possible. The guy who everyone loves vs the guy who most people don't care for.
Gentlemen. Prepare for awesome.

Kind of, but not really.... Former BW players tend to have better macro mechanics while wc3 pros have micro. and currently with sc2 Macro mechanics are much easier to master then bw which leaves wc3 pro's with a slight edge due to better micro and the advantage bw pros have being nullified by easier macro.
But in the end it is a different game from both, so it comes down to who has mastered sc2 not who played what game previously!

Naniwa and BoxeR hwaiting!!

Gentlemen. Prepare for awesome. lol that would be amazing! As I don't hate Cruncher unlike most people here I would love that. Unfortunately I do not see him even taking a game off Naniwa let alone winning the series...

Kas, ThorZain, Naniwa, CrunCher, Hasuobs.. Thtat is VERY intriqueing ! did WC3 actually prepared people to be better SC2 players than SCBW ?? hmmm, its curious indeed. I think the advantage of better mechanics has equalized. But i dont think playing wc3 has any advantage over playing sc:bw. Also, to be fair, i dont think the wins over Idra, jinro and Huk were that confincing, cant wait to tsl4 :D

Gogo Naniwa and Boxer!!!
Naniwa cuz I want to see Cruncher put in his place, Boxer because he's motherfucking Boxer :D
|
They're not WC3 players, they're SC2 players.
They just happened to be the individuals that learned the game faster. Moreover, foreign BW scene was always a bit underwhelming and I feel like a lot of the older players are just not putting in as much effort as is necessary, while the Korean BW scene with the best RTS players alive is still going strong.
There's just a big gap that's getting filled up by the up and coming players.

I think really its just a coincidence, outside the TSL WC3 players havent had the BEST results, have they been fairly competitive? sure, but nothing like they have in this tournament.

Imagine Cruncher cannonrushing Boxer in the semi-finals. That would be one hell of a day to be an admin on TL.
Either way I'm cheering for Boxer and Naniwa! I hope for more epic series like yesterday.

Micro in war 3 is soo different from sc2, you cannot compare those at all. Micro in war3 is about minute long battles controlling individual units all the time, whereas sc2 is about army positions and preparation for a few second long battle.
Besided basic RTS skills like mouse speed, accuracy etc the most important ability is decision making that transfers best from wc3 imo.
In the end today's best sc2 players are those who put the most effort into guess what, sc2.
