3 weeks of round robin, 1 week finals. Each week one clan will be versing another For eg. Week 1: Team 1 v Team 2, Team 3 v Team 4 Week 2: Team 2 v Team 3, Team 1 v Team 4 Week 3: Team 2 v Team 4, Team 1 v Team 3 (This is just an example) Each Team Match up will consist of 5 Best of 3 matches. All 5 matches will be played These will consist of Four 1v1 matches and One 2v2 matches. The two teams with the most wins, after the 3 weeks of round robbins, will be in the finals. The team with the most wins gets an advantage in the finals which will be they get to pick the first match up against their opponent. The finals is a straight 5 game matchup. Four 1v1's, One 2v2. Each Best of 3s. Each Best of 3's is worth $250 The team that wins the most of the 5 games will win an extra $1250 All 5 matches will be played, even if a team has 3-0 or 3-1 , the extra matches will be played just like in the first 3 weeks. This will allow for the losing team to redeem themselves and try to make $250 per Best of 3. This means the total prize pool that is on stake is a total of $2500 ($1250 + 5x$250)

Mousesports vs Fnatic
Strelok vs Sen (Unfortunately Sen was unable to play this match due to scheduling issues so Strelok won this match by default) Mana vs TT1 Watch Here Morrow vs Fenix Watch Here HasuObs vs KawaiiRice Watch Here
Congratulations to Mousesports and Fnatic. Mousesports came first place in the round robbins with 13 wins And Fnatic just edged out in front of EG with 6 wins for 2nd place.
So this means for the final showdown between Mousesports vs Fnatic, Mousesports gets to choose the first match up between players of both sides for the advantage they gained for scoring most wins in the round robbin.
All 5 matches of the best of 3s will be played. The team that gets 3 or more wins, wins the whole tournament and will get $1250. For each win each team secures they will get an extra $250. This means that if a team were to be 3-0 or 3-1 they still have a chance to win a bit more money!
Note: I will make fake links for series that go 2-0 for game three (leading back to game two) to hide spoilers for set outcomes. Links for game three overwise in 2-1 series will be as normal. MOUSESPORTS VS FNATICMSI SERIES1 + Show Spoiler +

Crota will be livestreaming his recordings of the game at his Justin TV account at: www.justin.tv/CrotaTV
He will also have a few guest commentaries amongst the matches in the tournament, with Day9, Kelly, and Drool from RagequitTV.
If you are interested about this tournament please watch these video announcements!
More information will be coming soon and I shall update this post!
For you who are not familiar with Crota, he started of doing commentaries of Warcraft 3 replays a bit over a year ago and transferred more into Starcraft 2 when it was released. He is very active on his youtube account, and also regularly updates his Facebook account, letting his fans know what's happening.
Hope this is one of many more to come! Crota is an awesome caster, well informed and statistically, knows the most about the game! He's the perfect caster in my opinion! ^^
Couple of people have been asking who is sponsoring the tournament. There are no sponsors for the tournament. I am putting together the tournament and providing the prize support.

I am hoping and trying to make this 8 team league style eventually. It just becomes a lot of games to organize and cast in one month. As some of you already know, I'm running another tournament in June for 4 additional teams. If all goes well with the tournaments, I will be inviting the first and second place team from each tournament for another round of Clan Wars to determine the ultimate winner in another tournament.

Crota
IdrA vs Mondragon easily
one of the few ZvZ i will look forward too
I gotta agree with you on that one. I am also looking forward mostly to the matches with Sen as I was very impressed with his performance at the world championship team league at seoul.
PS I am probably a bit biased on what matches i want to see because i play zerg.

watching Sen is always a nerdgasm, i love him ^__________^
I'm looking to grab some guest commentators for the upcoming Clan Wars. So far Day9, Kelly and Drool from Ragequit.tv have all said they would love to do it. Any other casters you would like me to bring into this event?
By poplar demand, I will be livestreaming my recording of the games before I post them up on YouTube. I've updated my stream information with TL and recently got a justin.tv account. CrotaTV
Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy watching this tournament as much as I do.
Yup, much more exciting indeed Hopefully it will lead to LR threads for each day with text results which makes for much easier record keeping, the MachinimaRealmInvitational lacked this and was very hard to follow.

Gosh, Day9 would be awesome! Have you worked with him before?

there will most likely be a follow up to this one, with the teams you miss. all kill format is nicer but brings a huge scheduling hassle with it. kkkk?

I'm not sure how the requitment process for liquid works or finacially for that matter, but it would be nice if they added a few players outside of Korea which would make it a whole lot easier for them to participate in team events.
Maybe they are a bit picky about who they let join their ranks but there are other teams with larger rosters so it shouldn't be impossible.
Hoping to do some live casting today with Drool but will need to see how the setup works. Havn't tried doing a dual cast while recording for youtube and livestreaming on justin.tv at the same time. Hope my PC stays together.

You can count on me for a liquipedia page as long as there is a results page to get the information from

Tuesuday May 10th - Aprox 3:00 pm Pacific Time mousesports vs fnatic 2v2 matchup - Dual Cast with Force

It's round robin so there's no bracket. The top two teams from round robin play will play in the finals. I maintain a results and videos thread on SCLegacy.... http://sclegacy.com/forums/showthread.php?p=166170
You sir are very quick, thank you for helping updating the matches ^_^ All current links are in OP now.
No problem. I'm doing the same for SCLegacy anyways. Crota's "home" SC2 site.:D If anyone just wants to see the results I keep it up to date on this thread at SCLegacy.... SCLegacy thread on Crota's tournament
I only update the standings when all the matches of the week are played.
There have been some time conflicts with some of the players and other commitments causing delays in the games. Right now though, there is a clear winner for first from my initial screenings but the battle for second is going down to the wire. I hope to make a video spreadsheet soon explaining everything but need to figure out how to do it. A lot of new games went up yesterday from weeks 1 - 2 and 3.

Not sure if it helps but i made sort of a standings section (beware spoilers!!!): + Show Spoiler +
On May 26 2011 17:17 EchelonTee wrote: how does the prize payoff work? after 3 weeks of pool play the highest ranked team gets the whole cash prize?
well its only 4 teams. So I can see it, but looking at the prize structure (i'm assuming this is only for the finals) each bo3 is worth 250$. So both teams can profit it seems as long as they can win a bo3 at minimum.
On May 26 2011 17:17 EchelonTee wrote: how does the prize payoff work? after 3 weeks of pool play the highest ranked team gets the whole cash prize?
Prize only awarded in the finals after the group play is over. In the finals:
-Each player or 2v2 team who wins a Best of 3 gets US$250 for their team. -The team who overall wins the final (as in most Best of 3s won) gets US$1,250.
Not sure how the teams will split the money but that's the tournament layout. So even if a team loses in the final they can still possibly make some money.
Also under week 3 EG vs mouz the match between LZGamer and Thorzain is not listed..if i remember right it used to be linked there. LZGamer vs ThorZain Link: LZGamer vs ThorZain

Above match is still missing from the OP. Guess i'll PM the guy.:D
Just as an update since I know many of you guys don't follow my facebook, I will be delaying the casts of the Finals until I get all 5 best of three games played and ready to cast. This should make it much easier to follow when they games finally do go up. I'll make some announcements later on when they will be up and who will be playing later.

JackHammer has been doing a good job at following the matches and listing results so far here: http://sclegacy.com/forums/showthread.php?p=166170#post166170 In the 'standings' up the top of the 2nd post It lists how many games the teams have won and etc..

Is there a price pool or is this a prestige tournament?
There is a prize pool. For the finals five Best of 3s will be played. Four 1v1 matches and a 2v2 match. Winning each match gains their team US$250. The team that wins the most Best of 3s will get US$1,250. All matches will be played.
The winner will win at least US$2,000 and up to US$2,500. Second place can get between US$0 to US$500.

Thanks, it was a lot of work espically with Pnuemonia in the middle of the tournament. I should be posting up the games shortly after MLG Colombus. The finals will be much easier to follow.
On June 15 2011 16:29 Mikilatov wrote: Did this finish? If not, when is the finals?
Crota is giving time for the teams to finish all their matches and send him the replays. It may or may not have finished already but it hasn't been casted yet. Crota should be releasing the videos in the coming week(s).
Sorry guys... there have been tons of delays due to MLG Columbus, Dreamhack, and HomeStory. We're finishing the games this weekend, so I'm sure Crota will announce the broadcast schedule for the finals.
What browser are you using? This doesn't happen for me, no apparent way to see where the link goes. Does this only work if your purposely trying to get spoiled? I'll put more spoilers tags in.
I don't want to spoil anything but I will say this, the final series between Sen and Hasuobs is definately worth watching. There are spoilers in the videos for the other series as well though. I suggest you watch them all in order. Thanks to mousesports and fnatic for a great series.
