The Champions Trophy Starcraft II tournament series is back again in April with Asia and Europe taking place this Monday, 25th of April 2011, and North America later this week.
Asia: Monday, April 25th (13 noon CET - 8 AM EST - 5 AM PST)
EU: Monday, April 25th (5PM CET - 12noon EST - 9AM PST)

Each player can veto two maps for every match, only one map for the final. The player in the upper part of the bracket gets to choose the first map. All matches must be played on European servers. All matches will be played as best-of-three, final is best-of-five. Europe is 16 players single-elimination, Asia 32 players single-elimination.

American tournament is planned and is going to take place this week, if everything goes well.

No offence but you guys do a really poor job promoting these.
You have a tournament featuring the likes of MarineKing, Bomber, Zenio, Ace, Supernova etc competing on their home server in a money tournament but there will be about 1/10th as many viewers as there should be because you haven't sufficiently promoted it.
If you have a guy like MarineKing playing then draw attention to it as it's a big selling point. Put his name in the OP and make sure you contact a TL admin to get your stream featured on the side bar (this alone will guarantee a few thousand more viewers than you would otherwise get).
I feel like it's going to be a great tournament that barely anyone will watch because they don't know it's happening.

I think editing in the korean players that are playing into the OP and just generally providing a bit more information would be better. This looks like a fucking awesome tournament so gj organizers! Just a shame it hasn't gotten as much publicity yet as it could have.

I had no idea this tournament existed, but here we have almost every big name in Korea besides some people that weren't knocked out of GSL playing.....

The OP says 8am EST which is 1pm for me, and 2pm CET. I'm guessing there's a slight mixup there in the times listed in the OP?

Probably it´s CET and not CEST (summertime/daylight saving) so it would start in 25 min. But just a guess, only read CEST often on TL, not familiar with this...
Fantastic lineup, didn´t notice this tounament before. Time to keep the thread up so more people notice

Bomber with the anti-timing of the century, goes for a big drop with 2 medivacs of bio and one with 2 of his tanks. Halfway across the map and Cezanne decides to go for a roach baneling bust...arrives at Bombers base to find almost no units and no wall rofl.
Bomber still wins the base trade though, could be 1-0, could be 1-1.
English stream sadly pretty much unwatchable due to lag

He was one of the dominant players in the beta, and is still super awesome. He crushes almost everyone anytime he plays, but unfortunantely he can't play as much due to military service afaik.
Edit: He was also an old school BW progamer with moderate success.

He's in the military now, I think he is done in May and then we might see him in the GSL.

He practiced a lot during the last few months getting very high on the korean ladder (like top 3, maybe rank 1 too).
He's very good now but still underrated by a lot of people.

I did read someone saying that Polt's finished up his studies for the time being and has more time to practice as a result? Not sure how accurate that actually is, but it sounds like a plausible reason for his recent improvement.

I know that is only 250e cashprize, so GSL players probably play like if they were on ladders (to not reveal their real strats by map/matchup, at least I think they don't) but PoltPrime winning over LosirA, TheStC and Zenio is pretty impressive. Can't wait see to see his GSL matches :d.

It wasn't really that all-in. He left a considerable number of scvs behind + 2ocs. He knew whitera would need a considerable number of probes which would even out their worker count pretty much. Demuslim has always been a great proponent of using scvs.

I like the tournament series. Nice german cast and very good lineup. Like to see demuslim playing again competively. With more advertisment the series would have waaaay more viewers. But I really enjoy it. Always looking forward to it. Good job

Demuslim is playing really well today. Goody attacked 15 sec before demuslim's +2 upgrade finished, but he held the contain anyway. If he doesn't lose a large group of hellions like in the first two games, then I don't see goody winning this.

Yes. Was pretty amazing to see. Just the right amount of aggression. He was able to defend drops beautifully and never really lost too much. Still he managed to deny mining at demu's third for quite a while. Really impressed with his play, but still rooting for a demuslim comeback.

This lol, he's an excellent player and makes some of the most imaginative use of Zerg units I've seen, but he can be seriously BM which really dampens my enthusiasm to see him play sometimes

Its funny how blizz explicitely stated that the fungal buff was supposed to make zerg stronger against toss deathball while changing nothing in zvt.
In reality it doesnt change much against toss while terran bio gets totally owned now. Infestor + Broodlord seems unbeatable anyway.
My personal guess is that tvz can not be played without ghosts anymore.
