I am Naniwa, I can do whatever I want." There's a reason he has a reputation for bailing on events/showmatches/streams etc. and to decide to ladder instead of playing your matches tells NASL I don't care, you should wait for me, and tbh, they made the right decision if this is in fact the case. I really have no idea what that man was thinking. It really does not make any sense what he did. i hope he will make some sort of post about why he did that. After MLG i was really starting to like this guy, but it seems like he is starting to get back to his old ways.... come on bro manner up.

To be honest, I think there will be a lot of games where people will need to forfeit if they can't reschedule. When the GSL starts the players won't be able to stay up until 4AM to play a game when they have an important much the next day.

I don't have a problem with it- it's probably the smartest thing to do, to lay down the hammer now and avoid problems later. Plus from what a couple people said it sounded like Naniwa was throwing out excuses and crap, so yeah, good decision.

2. We are aware that W/O's suck and are not what anybody wants... we are discussing ways to make this less frequent. We DO have a really ambitious schedule though so if players aren't communicating with us it will be really hard to cut them huge amounts of slack. Please know this league cannot exist with a bunch of w/o's so obviously we above all else want to work out how to solve this and we are on it! 3. Thanks to everyone being understanding and having patience <3 We will make mistakes.. what is important is that we improve upon them!

He was still at Dreamhack. Also NASL needs to stop asking players if they want the free-win and award it, stop putting players into that position. On April 14 2011 09:57 iNcontroL wrote: 1. The recording has to encode over night takes many hours. For w/e reason it had a stoppage last night that nobody noticed until today when there wasn't enough time to fix it before the stream goes live. We are delayed. It was our mistake.. we obviously know what to check for in the future! We are sorry! Then why not announce it was going to be delayed earlier, rather than announcing it when it was supposed to air?

No, but he attended. Probably helping SjoW practice among other things. Anyway, if you were there you'd understand the decision better. ![]()

Idea for the future: Set a time every day where you announce drama that will affect the next day's matches.

What he did is not just insulting and disrespectful to the efforts of the league, but to the fans as well. Even Allen Iverson shows up for actual games, come on.

Well the good thing is that you guys are actually communicating with the viewers and letting us know how long things are delayed for. Unlike MLG, which viewers were left in the dark as to what is going on and when things would actually be back up. At least we can better use our time now.

It shows who is professional and who isn't. If a player had a prior arrangement and communicated with you guys to let you know in advance (days or weeks, not hours) then I think it would be wrong to give a W/O but not if a player is just being lazy. As far as the encoding error, it's a pain to be sure but it's the second day. Just like I didn't enjoy the silence yesterday (no music), I'm fine with it as long as it doesn't happen in a month when the league should be stable.

He'd probably lose if he has to play Naniwa. Simple as that, in my opinion. If Naniwa actually put himself in a vulnerable position that could cause a forfeit on his part, and this is for a tournament with a prize pool, it's his own fault for not being more responsible. And that's a pity, because I was hoping to see them play. But I think it would be foolish for Strelok to not be opportunistic in this scenario, especially when money is on the line. There's certainly no level of honor or entertainment that trumps playing to win, and there's no one to blame but Naniwa. That being said, I don't know all of the details, so I'm just going off what I'm reading here- the assumption that Naniwa was being dumb and that Strelok is actually being offered the option of a walkover because of it.

How about putting something up on the website so I don't have to click around until I find the information in the LR thread?
