Great post. Its a little absurd that such a mass of people are flaming the NASL after 1 day of broadcasting, like everything should fall in place perfectly or its a complete failure / waste of time. I hope most of the really negative people posting here dont tune in, would make for a much better audience imo. Either way, GL getting everything ironed out and streaming again.

Yeah, but with less marquee games means less viewers. Less viewers means less revenue for NASL.

2. Saying one thing and doing another. Just when I thought Nani had turned the corner his old ways pops back up. Ugh.. Naniwa is on team dignitas. Sjow is also on team dignitas and participated in Dreamhack. Sjow's first match was against Huk and second match against white-ra. Naniwa being the good teammate was probably helping sjow prepare.
Correct. I actually remember hearing that Sjow went 0-10 vs Naniwa in warm-up games. Nani is pretty beastly right now.

I don't agree. In the short term it is not good but in the long term it is very good and very necessary for esports. Naniwa is a professional gamer -- he needs to act like one.

NASL, making the tough decisions, lets just have some awesome games tonight <3
|
I think the w/o was the right decision but I believe it should be NASL making the call and not left to the players. In this case, both of them are fan favorites so there is not much ruckus about it.
However, if such a W/O was to occur on a hypothetical Idra vs XYZ map (XYZ being a lesser reknown player), people would be hating on XYZ for taking a W/O.
Leaving the choice on the player leaves them in an uncomfortable spot. If NASL wants to have strict rules, then they should not be afraid to make decisions based on their rules i.e. awarding July a w/o at 45 min (or even at 4 hr mark given the circumstances). Leaving it to July after a 4 hr wait just seems wrong.

While i appreciate the communication, i wish it was done far earlier, as soon as you realized the encoding stopped you should have put an announcement on the website should have been put up right away. I dropped what i was doing to come home and watch NASL (payed for it may as well use it) but then i come back and realize i could have finished up what i was doing and then some =(
earlier communication and i will be fine with it, as of now, a little frustrated as im sure the whole NASL team is as well.

Know you're going to take a lot of the flak for any/everything that goes wrong, but appreciate that the update went up so quickly, rather than us waiting around without knowing one way or the other. Still much appreciation for all the hard work that goes into an even this size.
Also, incontrol is still my American Idol :D

When the crap is it going to start? it's almost 15 after starting time and no NASL yet

Oh well, I guess I really should be studying - I'll keep NASL open in the background, and if it starts making noises, I'll at least be able to watch it then.

This is group play stages, one series doesn't mean a player is eliminated, it just makes it significantly harder for them to advance. And quite frankly if they don't show up then they deserve to have a harder to advancing.

They're not eliminated. First few weeks are group play, go to the full schedule page and behold! Artosis playing next week along with everyone else who was "eliminated" by losing.

This is group stage. No one will be eliminated yet.
