Just to clarify some things 1) I am married. Very happily so! This isn't a huge obstacle as I am within a 2 hour driving distance from the studio and my wife is very supportive. 2) I work full time at DivX encoding video (www.divx.com) (I actually set the encodes to go to justin.tv so if the baseline quality is bad you can blame me) 3) I am a partner with youtube now. I do get a substantial amount from ad revenue but no where near enough to replace a full time salary. I hope to one day make enough to at least go part time at work (if such a situation would be amenable with my boss) It's somewhat difficult with my work situation as we just went through two major mergers and things still haven't settled out. I am hoping to sneak more days off to work with the NASL. Again thanks for all the support! Keep watching and providing feedback as the NASL team aims to improve with every cast!

I kind of understand why Ensnare went heavy on only marine/marauder. I feel like he depended on 2 things: A) hoping to catch iNcontrol's army out of positon This would be very likely seeing as how iNcontrol has a tendency to move his army in one big group to stop harass. In fact, at one point he moved his whole army to his 3rd and left the entrance to his main and natural undefended. Ensnare tried to take the opportunity way too late and ended up engaging in a bad position, costing him the game. or B) base trade The map was fairly large and had a lot of open space in the center. If iNcontrol decided to push out in the same fashion as he did in game 1, Ensnare would easily win a base race situation. In either case, I feel like he underestimated iNcontrol. Like others have mentioned, if he just went with a more standard army composition, he wouldn't have to rely on iNcontrol's mistakes.

It's really only when Gretorp gets excited and screams. I've physically had to lower the volume on my speakers when he starts screaming in order not to make too much noise and wake up the girlfriend. It really goes to a whole other level.

Because the sound is half the experience, and there's so much "noise" in the sound that's it's not coming out clear. I dunno, maybe the people who pay and get the hq stream are getting better audio, but the sq audio is bad.

Ensnare was planning on pulling incontrol apart with drops all around, but Incontrol immediately shut it down so hard with those phoenix. It reminded me of what they were talking about on SOTG in BW. Zerg would use scourge to shut down terran drop harass. The phoenix was a risky gamble. Just like how Incontrol took a really fast 3rd to catch up in game 2 (which he subsequently lost to a sizable mm force), he did the same in game 3 but with phoenixes. Ensnare attacked in game 2, but not in game 3. That's why he won game 2 but not game 3.

InControl had a massive supply deficit, for a while at least. However, the quality of his supply was overall higher than Ensnare's. Think of it this way. Which is stronger in a big 200/200 fight? 3 Stalkers, or 1 Colossus? Both cost the same amount of food. It's the same principle with Void Ray-Colossus versus Zerg, where 2 Void Rays costs the same amount of food as 3 Roaches (6 food, Void Rays are 3 food each), yet 3 roaches don't even cost as much resources as ONE Void Ray. The style Ensnare played involves fielding a large, low tech army quickly, and using the ability to be aggressive and mobile to expand very aggressively and keep his opponent trapped in his base, wearing down his more efficient army with the sheer weight of macro and numbers and the ability to be in multiple places at once, dealing small amounts over time, amounting to a very large amount of damage in the end. Against the Protoss deathball in particular, this can be strong because the deathball relies on all the units being grouped together to be effective. Colossi alone are giant targets without a supporting army. To make this strategy work though, being aggressive is a requirement. He needed to be poking and prodding InControl constantly, dealing small damage here and there. Think of it like a Zerg player going muta-ling-bling in ZvT, because it's much the same idea here for the Terran player. Unfortunately, he wasn't doing that, and if you want to blame the map for that, then it's Ensnare's poor choice for using this strategy on a map that weakens its viability. Having done too little damage with this style and putting on little pressure, Ensnare allowed InControl to turtle off three bases and build up a 200/200 army that while having the same food cost, was in fact MUCH larger than Ensnare's when you factor in the cost of the units and their efficiency (6 Marines = 1 Colossus in food. 1 Marauder = 1 Phoenix in food). InControl's army was more expensive than Ensnare's, and it crushed his. To draw another comparison, imagine a TvT, where one player is going almost pure bio to 200/200, while the other has about 15 upgraded siege tanks, supported with a smaller bio army and a few supporting Vikings and Medivacs. Ensnare did the TvP equivalent of suiciding his basically pure bio army into that huge ball of sieged tanks, and he got absolutely destroyed...as he should have. Nobody would argue about that happening in TvT.

Dude honestly you were great! nice to see you actually come on the forum and explain your situation to us as im sure we would all love to see you in more of the NASL. Honestly you raised the quality of the casting 10 fold but i totally understand that you have a job and a life as much as id want to see you there full time :D. Either way try and get as many days off as you can it would be great to see more of you pretty much everyone here agrees your casting is of the highest caliber and you could teach the other casters in the NASL i thing or 2 (and hopefully already have)
