When the horse you're pulling for wins, you're happy regardless of how it happens. Most of us just wanted Incontrol to win so we enjoyed the match.

Ensnare completely messed up his tech there - he delayed his vikings way to much to go bio only - and allowed iNcontrol to hit the money number of collossus; great game to watch though, very entertaining! Well, I have to say Diggity was amazing.
When Incontrol was going to be out, I had a fair idea they would call in one of the SC2GG guys, and with Moletrap being a la Korea, Diggity was the obvious next choice. While he's not a big name on youtube, his Broodwar casts are excellent, and he was one of the most well liked/subscribed broodwar casters.
It's surprising he hasn't been that well known throughout Starcraft 2, considering his excellent quality and the general approval he's gotten.
Although I'm super biased, if it could at all be arranged, it would be awesome if they could go over to a 3 caster style ala Korea, with Diggity, Gretorp, Incontrol.

Diggity personifies a professional caster, seriously that guy is great. and he's got that made for TV look that even tastosis lack.
although i love the nerdsss is cool seeing someone like that on camera doing sc stuff. step above youtube for sure

That, combined with the 6 full energy sentries that he kept alive meant iNc was perfectly safe from Ensnare's pure infantry army. Well played by iNc, but it was hardly an amazing comeback unless you only look at supplies. Did you see the base timings? Ensnare was ahead by 1-1 in upgrades before incontrol started 1-1, he was 30 food ahead, and a base ahead while dropping two starports. "Praise be to Tal'Darim Altar for those ramps and chokes otherwise I was toast" is what incontrol just said on stream. Cause it's true. Without forcefield and colossus Protoss might be held accountable for falling behind in games. Such a joke. Yeah, it should've been a BO loss but Gretorp was going on about how far behind iNc was, after his collosi production had already kicked in. 30 supply of infantry against FF/collusus is nothing.
Yeah guess that's just the state of the game Wish there was a composition for T to win TvP 30 supply down, upgrades down, bases down.
Otherwise another great day by NASL. The announced delay was much > than huge errors for viewers or whatever else might have happened. Really enjoying the league.

Actually, Terran has the highest dps unit in the game. But what was really missing from his army was vikings and medivacs.
No way man... You mean Terran has units other than marines and marauders?
.... There's just no way. I thought all those other buildings were just for show!
On another note, I loved Diggity.

I agree. Recently, the casting makes me a lot less excited to watch the NASL, but diggity contributes a lot and he changes that.

Nice iNcontroL! So happy! Totally rooting for you.
And why are so many qqing about Gretorp? It seems like one of those things where people flock to an opinion because everyone else thinks so. His casting is pretty good imo.

I saw plenty of medivac drops
not hard to stop with a few cannons and stalkers, and what's he gonna do? run up a ramp with a ton of sentries ready to cut his army in half? that map is so easy to defend on for protoss there was nothing ensnare could do to prevent him from going 3 base and maxing out

Actually, a day or two before DreamHack when Jinro was streaming, the Korean server went down, he refused to play on the NA server even though everyone was asking him to, because he said the lag was so bad.
That said, lag had nothing to do with that last game. Ensnare had a 40+ supply advantage. He allowed iNcontrol time to catch up. All Ensnare had to do was attack 5 minutes earlier and he would have won. Poor decisions lost that lost game, lag did not.
As for the casting, Gretorp is too loud for my taste, among other things. But complaining about Gretorp won't get him replaced so I won't do it.
Diggity, was okay. Only caught the last game.

This game reminded me of turtle style TvZ in SC1. Maybe Terran in SC2 will have to play like Zerg in SC1 by taking the whole map with Orbitals, mules, and a bunch of unit producing structures. That way they can hurl units and remax instantly with an insane economy and starve out the Protoss.
Pretty much the solution to turtle toss is to do drop harass from all angles. Ensnare certainly had the resources to do so. It would force Incontrol to be all over the place trying to defend, and it would stretch him thin. I know Inc had phoenix but subtle drops can be done. Then when he hits 3/3 and a critical amount of vikings, he should engage Inc's army, taking note to get a good position with his vikings to snipe the colossi. This pretty much is what beats me when I try to turtle against terran.

If ensnare would have used his APM to micro 2 drops and slight pressure at the front he would have split the Protoss army and done damage; i don't see why people are forgetting he delayed his starport until the first collossus was out - that is incredibly ridiculous!
If you can't go through FF go over them with your DROPSHIPS!

Just to all you guys saying not to let him get that army, do you remember Ensnare trying to engage earlier in the game, but got forcefielded off at the ramp? He is unable to engage because it's physically impossible ie. forcefields were casted.

Hey NASL. I like the contrast change when we were watching the matches, but I didn't really like how it looked on the casters.

I AGREE 1000000% I mean WHO THE HECK was the mystery euro caster on the middle 2 games...he was AWFUL!! He was so loud, and when you combined him with how loud and silly Gretorp was it made for an awful commentation experience. Diggity made those other 3 commentators look like CHUMPS! If I here Gretorp say "INDEED" one more time I am going to freak out!
Go Diggity!! NASL if you are listening I hope you are going to go with the better caster (Diggity) and not just stick with the other 2 guys just because they were their from the start. Think about how you want NASL to be professional....

Well he IS a veteran caster, that may have something to do with it! Though I was amazed he was so comfortable in front of the camera too.

Esnare maxed really quickly on medivacs, marines, and marauders. Right when he got maxed, he should have started attacking everywhere, not sitting, waiting for protoss to get maxed. He should have started dropppingmarauders and focus firing expansions and just kill production buildings and expansions to the point where he might be behind on food, but iNcontrol is forced to counterattack. Then, he should go back into ghost/viking proudction to snipe collosi since he he is no longer maxed, while making a ton of planetary fortress's/scvs waiting to repair + bunkers to survive the counterattack.
iNcontrol played really well, using evrything to his advantage. The pheonix transition was a remarkable read on Ensnare's army composition.

Pretty good night guys. I had some stream issues, but it never failed on me in a game, so I'm pleased. The quality of the stream is really good. Still cringing a bit at the mic quality and the lack of music in the games, but otherwise I'm happy. Diggity was a step above, I've only heard him once or twice before, but I really liked his professionalism and voice. Didn't hurt that he looked very professional. I'd love to know he had a permanent home with the NASL. Finally, congratulations iNcontroL. You deserve all of it and I hope you keep posting good results. Thanks for putting this all together.
