Man, all the incontrol haters must be raging now. Quite an upset!

Diggity was awesome tonight. I'd love to see him replacing Gretorp. Or at least for Gretorp to learn some volume control and stop saying "indeed" every 10 seconds. Honestly, I haven't been impressed with his casting even other than those issues, but the SCREAMING AT RANDOM TIMES FOR NO GOOD REASON thing is really hurting my viewing experience.

With all due respect, but 90% of this NASL was so...dull to watch, not an entertaining experience :/

NASL should REALLY make Diggity a fulltime caster....you can really see the difference in professionalism that he brings to the table when compared to Gretorp and Incontrol.

Anyone else feel that Diggity deserves a perma spot on NASL?

TvP and ZvP are so similiar, its ALL about taking out the colossus. It doesnt even matter if the rest of ur army dies, as long as the colossus are gone your in good shape. Ensare was way to passive and didnt have the unit composition to take out the colossus. GG

well played Incontrol

Also, Ensnare got EMP the moment he was 60 supply behind...

7/10 for Liquibet thus far, yay!

That last series saved the day quality wise

incontrolllllll!!

wtf is with this balance qq? ensnare went pure bio with almost no serious aggression all game, barely any medivacs and far too few vikings. i'm sure somewhere in his head he figured inc will be getting a colossus ball, yet he let him do it with no pressure til inc was almost maxed despite being 40 food ahead all game. upgrades or not that's a terrible composition against even the most standard pvt armies.

well, least he admits taldarim altar is easy for protoss to defend.
But there were waaaay too few vikings, and i don't think there were any ghosts in the first big "battle" (was more a stampede from incontrol). Even before the armies clashed it was obvious that he wouldn't be able to deal with the collossus ball as there were only a handful of vikings and on top of that there were 6-8 phoenix as well.

Yeah it's called protoss.

Right, since TT1 is protoss, he had no problems and handily won against Sjow!

Oh wait....

The crossfire games in each series did an excellent job of highlighting this. Ensnare got plain outplayed, and its ridiculous that people are blaming this on game balance and refusing to acknowledge that incontrol played amazing in game 1, and did a fantastic job with the comeback in game 3.

every single series was really strong? please do not insult us.

hahaha no kidding ,quality of todays games were meh. Games that give me excitement are when a player plays really solid , such as good expansion timing perfect upgrade timing gets out on the map and has total vision and map control and then he wins, because he played better. Not someone playing worse the whole game then somehow winning because of map imbalance or w/e other silly reason. Either way quality of todays games were far lower than yesterdays, i cant beleive that last game , obviously ensnare should have done a huge drop pushed up the ramp and sandwiched him or something but the whole situation seemed pretty difficult

HOW DID HE WIN THAT GAME?????

Ensnare's factory was incredibly late, and when he did engage it was anti-timing.

iNc was never very far behind, I have no idea why Gretorp thought that. He had his first collosus out and second almost finished, with range finished, as Ensnare was just starting to build his first Starport. That, combined with the 6 full energy sentries that he kept alive meant iNc was perfectly safe from Ensnare's pure infantry army.

Well played by iNc, but it was hardly an amazing comeback unless you only look at supplies.

Did you see the base timings? Ensnare was ahead by 1-1 in upgrades before incontrol started 1-1, he was 30 food ahead, and a base ahead while dropping two starports.

"Praise be to Tal'Darim Altar for those ramps and chokes otherwise I was toast" is what incontrol just said on stream. Cause it's true. Without forcefield and colossus Protoss might be held accountable for falling behind in games. Such a joke.

Yeah, it should've been a BO loss but Gretorp was going on about how far behind iNc was, after his collosi production had already kicked in. 30 supply of infantry against FF/collusus is nothing.

It was smart play by inc to not attack and just wait and try and get his army maxed out. If he would have moved out at all beforehand, he would have gotten stomped pretty bad.
Disagree. He probably would've lost too many stalkers, or could've mismicroed and lost the collosi, but there was quite a large window before vikings came out that iNc still should've won any engagement. Probably not decisive enough to win, but enough that Ensnare would've had to retreat unless there was the aforementioned mismicro.

instead of going for barracks 5-8 ensnare should have gone for reactored medievacs and start dropping. he got away with a greedy opening and didnt do anything with it.

i don't think it's "greedy," it's "oh hey d00d, you just put yourself on a clock, you need to attack...oh wait tiny ramp lol, you should've made medivacs"

1rax expand into 4rax expand is pretty greedy in my eyes. yea right the ramp. either you go medievacs to drop all over his bases or you rally all you got to his base and dont let him get the deathball. ensnare did neither.

I personally think that with all that time and resource lead he had, he should have actually teched up to tougher or more interesting units. You wanna know how to bust the shit out of that protoss choke with forcefields? A nuke will do it.

You know what else? Siege tanks. A bunch of upgraded BC's.

Slamming down 8 barracks and then just massing rather than attacking all over the place was just dumb. If you're going to go that heavy on the barracks, you'd better actually attack frequently to keep protoss numbers down.

when will people start to talk about balance for the colosus ?

or you guy will tell me the game perfectly balanced ?

i know teamliquid hate that , but seriously they deserve it so much .

when each time people can only find to say : dont let them get the army ! attack them before !

for exemple in incontrol game he got force field , that not like Ensnare can run up the ramp and win before .

they are something realy wrong with the game when 200 protoss army alway win every fight .

im only high master terran and not that good at sc2 curently , but i dont need to be a pro gamer for know they are something wrong with the deathball protoss army .

A total of 3 posts and you are busting out gems like these. Constructive criticism goes a lot further than just flaming.

I personally thoroughly enjoy listening to Gretorp i personally believe his casting style is better than a lot of others out there - but that is my personal opinion

Diggity was out of this world though - so damn good!

God that was awesome, really happy for incontrol!

Bring back more diggity! I think now he's my favorite sc2 caster I've seen.

I really like the look too...tshirts and blazers just looks like kids dressing up or a inside joke whereas the nice digs that diggity sported(get it?) looked pretty damn good.

Loving me some NASL!!

I would love this and I think the only problem may be that Diggity has a job/life outside SC2! I mean, his wife may be okay with commentary on the side/at night/on the weekends, but I wouldn't feel comfortable dropping my "real" job if it wasn't guaranteed to preserve my family.

No, getting nothing but pure bio isn't going to be the next big thing on ladder.

right. terran should be supplementing their bio with beefy dps units right? like colossus? terran have colossus right?

Actually, Terran has the highest dps unit in the game.

But what was really missing from his army was vikings and medivacs.
