Yeah I'm bummed we won't see those matches, but take your frustration out on who actually deserve it, the players who fucked up. The question is why isn't NASL rescheduling the matches. People want to see white-ra vs July, it's a marquee match-up. They are already doing 4 hours of SC2 per night. It's tough to fit even more in. Well, they could always show it on Monday or Sunday, when they don't have any broadcasts. Or even upload it on youtube. If they made the game available people will flock to it and watch it. You don't seem to understand that these players signed contracts. Obligating them to play on a specific day each week. If the NASL would make an exception for this match, they would be pressured into doing it for all of the others. Making this scenario even worse, and thats apparently something you're against. I'm speaking from a purely spectator point of you. You're coming from a contract laywer/negotiator point of you, which is fine. However not all of us are interested in behind the scenes. We are consumers interested in the product, which are games. If NASL can't provide marquee games because of W/O then what's the incentive for the viewers to keep on coming back when there are other leagues like TSL, GSL, ESL, IPL, etc? I think I'm looking at it as more of a spectator then you think. Sure this series would be great to see. However if the threat of a W/O wasn't present. What would be preventing people from not showing more frequent, because their game could just be played later. This would cause the schedule we have now to be incredibly altered. I personally enjoy knowing what games I'm going to get to see daily. If they knuckle down now, this will be less of an issue in the future, because people that want to win, will be around. White-Ra had a huge window of opportunity to play out this series.

One thing I will say is I don't like this map rotation....very boring to watch crossfire, and backwater gultch after yesterday again :\

Did you like the choice or would you rather them decide for you? Not trying to harass you just never experienced anything like a tournament environment ever.

Does this timing of Nasl have anything to do with the Day9 Daily?
I mean if they do a 30 min preview every time before the games start, and they start 7;30 PST
That would line up with the first match beginning right as day9 ends his daily.

I don't like it much either, but after thinking about it it's kind of cool. Once Backwater and Crossfire rotate out we won't see them for a while so you get a huge influx of games on certain maps and then move on to the next...
Eh, I guess it is pretty boring though lol

I still don't understand how people are blaming NASL for this. How is this the NASL failing to provide us marquee games? If anything its WhiteRa and Naniwa failing to provide us marquee games. Would we be able to see WhiteRa and Naniwa in the TSL if they didn't show up for their games?
Apparently Naniwa and WhiteRa simply have better things to do with their time than compete for their share of fifty grand. I can understand why that frustrates you but it really isn't anyone's fault.

Weird, I've never had any problems watching 720p or 1080p streams before. I noticed it while they were playing that little song earlier, so hopefully it'll get better when the games start.

Or spectators and players can just LEARN to live by the professional rules of the league.
Look at any major sports. You gotta have the solid structure for people to abide by. Such professionalism allows for smooth & respected operations which in turn brings in more success.
White-Ra lost because he couldn't make it to schedule. He was fully aware of the rules and unfortunately it didn't work out. If you're flip-floping with indecisive manner already from season 1, all the players will throw various headache and tantrum.
I don't need to mention that will ultimately lead to our own (spectator) frustration.
Looking forward to tonight NASL.
[edit] Can anyone tell me what this season's prize pool and its division is? I can't find it anywhere on their site or FAQ thread here in TL.

I am predicting doom and gloom for the lagginess of the stream tonight. Just a hunch, given the problems with the EU restream this morning and the problems that are continuing with what's on the stream right now. Hope I'm wrong.
EDIT: by "problems" i mean the fact that the music video being shown is lagging badly.

Lol i seriously don't understand why people are blaming NASL; this is clearly White-Ra's fault - there is no question about it. Hopefully he can schedule better in the future

Lets all watch Boxers Wings EPISODE 2 instead

I think everyone needs to cool their jets and be patient. The games will happen and I'm sure they will be great. Although I am working I am eagerly awaiting the LR! So just be patient. I'm sure the NASL staff are doing their best to get everything ready as quickly as possible. These things happen.
And we must all remember, as a wise man once said (maybe a bit more than once).... Vehcile of technology.

Though honestly Ii'll probably be less bothered by the laggy stream than by all the people bitching about the NASL not being perfect on their second day.

I can't believe I almost fell for it and purchased that $25 ticket.

It might be worth it for NASL to invest and create a video/streaming player like the GSL's GOM. I don't lag at all on GOM, but on Justin.tv, even on the lowest settings I lag a lot.

Terrible, terrible lag. In before the storm.
