Tyler tried to take it head on and that's just what thorzain wanted
You make immortals and zealots with charge...Tyler scouted, but for some reason he kept on pumping colluses.

Awesome Thor play from Thorzain! :D

It seems like he thinks its like BW where his mechanics are like 1.5x better than his opponent so his main concern is being super safe and not dying to cheese instead of cutting corners, taking risks and getting ahead Maybe Tyler thought Thorzain would go banshee and tried to hard-counter it... I haven't viewed thorzains vsP before - does he go banshees a lot?

I feel really worried for Tyler. He doesnt take initiative any more. And tbh his reactionary play doesnt seem that strong :<

Game 2 is on Terminus RE.
Currently, score is 1-0 Thorzain.

lol all bronzies are gonna try thorzains strat in TvP and get rolled ^_^;

when t goes mass mech the p has to expand much faster because the t won't attack for ages

or did they play on the korean B.Net?

Thors are so underused but so strong, it truly was a walkover and I don't see how immortals would've made any difference at all. I hope this changes the mind of all terrans that go pure bio

It's stoppable, it's called chargelot/immortal, throw some VRs in the mix and its over. Tyler's just playing this game the wrong game The zealots wouldnt make it through them blue flame hellions, strike cannon would tear out the immortals and he also had vikings out as his anti vr units, he just focused more on thors after seeing the collosus/stalker composition. Its kindof a deadball, i wouldnt want to engage a 200/200 mech army in a dark alley =/

Played against this composition few times as P, never got to defeat it, or think of a composition that beats it, hope Tyler finds it if Thorzain goes same unit comp again.

Nice Strat by Thorzain, showing that Terran have things in their poket

The collision size of the Thors really helps negate that splash damage from the Colossus. That is why his army did like NO damage.
I love the mech-style. Certainly looks viable to me ^.^

It was interesting how Thorzain handled his third. He didn't morph it into anything because he went to attack, in case of a counter attack he could just fly it away, come back with it later then defend it with his army + morph it into a PF.
Or did he just forget about morphing it? Who knows
Not sure, but was awesome :D

People have been experimenting with thors for a while now, myself included.
Immortals/zealots with a good concave or a solid land army + VR support really hurts it. If you lose your first army, its pretty much gg, as thors take forever to build.
|
Also don't forget that Tyler didn't cut a single corner the entire game. He does that quite a bit when he feels he has an edge over his opponent. He opened safe and played it super conservative the entire game allowing ThorZain to get ahead in supply/tech for the big battles.

Aww watching a replay and assuming it was a live game kinda sucks.
With all the long waiting and stuff kinda weird x_X
