You haven't seen our tournaments with strelok etc in it? No one was going to say it, because its incorrect. This weekend there were 2 lans in Europe, which was why there was few europeans available.
Excuse me, sir, I meant this FXOpen, although it is true that FXOpen is mostly an Australian/NA/Korean tournament in general, and the Koreans usually field far more players here than they do in most other tournaments (ie I noticed that a contingent of fOu is here today, plus a lot of Prime and oGs members). Why more European pros are not playing in it, I don't know - I suspect it has to do with other commitments and the time of the tournament - but it is a legitimate, albeit tongue-in-cheek, response to Qaatar's question. No offense is meant to the organizers or the prestige of the tournament.

Yeah lots of Europeans can't make it due to the timezone, but we are rectifying this with some EU server KOTHs at a nice time for you guys

Terran fighting! (and I mean the player )
|
Cmon THEBEST, wipe out Terran! ^^
Really brilliant play by TheBest man, sacrifices that entire army, doing an infinite amount of damage. Wipes out a near equivalent army of Terran's not to mention... his expo+main killed everything and macroed up an even scarier army after that entire ordeal. Such sick play.

MarineKing, sC, Cloud, Fenix, TT1, and Cruncher are the only top players from ANY country playing in this tournament. Attempting to draw conclusions from this pool of players is pointless.

Let me just take this opportunity to say that I really appreciate what you guys are doing, deL, because you guys bring in a lot of Korean and Chinese players, including lesser known ones, and I think that's quite unique out of all the big tournaments. I'm definitely not slighting the tournament as I like the format.

Yeah, great decision making by TheBest to go after Terran's base.

That's not true - the top 200 in Korea are pretty much equivalent with the exceptions of a few demigods like mvp, MC, Bomber, Alicia, Losira, NesTea, etc.
Not sure about the parity of the other servers though.

Yeah I think you can put guys like oGsHerO and oGsTheStC up there with some of the best of the Korean players on their day.
|
Man, that was some tight micro by TheBest.
Terran played well, but his micro was lacking imo.

Kyhol beats two oGs guys in a row. Sick.

Hey, FXO guys, what's the story with eizcaj? Is that actually SiriusfOu's account, or is it some other top NA player? They are #10 on Sc2ranks.com with a 75% win ratio.
|
we borrowed jaczies account.
|
how come these turned from 2-3 day events to 2 week events?
|
Wow fOU and Prime are doing really well this tournaments In contrast, it seems oGs has lost its magical run in the FXO events LOL

She also let me lend her account to someone else who would I will keep anonymous unless he tells me otherwise for now, for NA laddering. It is not SiriusfOu though.

Last one was 2 days all on one weekend just to try that out and it ran for far too long and compromised player comfort (especially EU players who started past midnight and had to play well into the morning, ruining their weekend). The reason for the two weekends is that Sunday for USA is Monday for the Australian-based FXO staff and with work/uni we can't usually host events at that time.
It was mostly in the interest of reducing player and caster fatigue that saw us return to a 3-day event and it seems as it will stay like this for a while even if it means day 1 generates a little less hype than the next weekend.
Having said that, we're always open to feedback from players who participated! Swing me a PM.

ogshero and ogsthestc are pretty good but they aren't very consistent
neither of them have been able to get through the GSL qualifiers yet (although stc is due to being in the army right now)
also too bad for hero that he had to miss the first game
|
I don't think they are inconsistent so much as the competition is just so fierce and there's not much to differentiate between that level of player.
|
So proud of ONEKyhol taking out the previous winner. Shout out to my little nerd! GL to all competitors and may the best player win!
GL vs OptikZero!
