Although I haven't heard for certain how seedings work from event to event in MLG, all sixteen seeds are guaranteed to make the top 32 in some way or another, and 4 of the top 16 seeds will automatically be in the top four no matter what. Which is a much better format than just having a huge open tourney and have all the players get cheesed out at some point or have the player pool top 32 change completely every single event. Kind of like the GSL Opens in the early days of SC2 where completely undeserving players (BitByBit?_ were regularly playing horrible games on TV. | ||

The schedule in the OP says the Open Bracket Winners starts at 12 p.m. However, MLG's site says they're starting with Open Bracket Losers at 10 a.m. I'm not sure if that is streamed or not. | ||

Actually I'm pretty sure it is the winners of round 6 which advance to group play. The losers of round 6 + the remaining 8 players in the losers bracket advance to the championship bracket afaik | ||

Oh yeh that would make sense I forgot about the losers bracket. I've followed MLG for the past 2-3 years usually with the Halo Streams they stream the losers brackets when nothing else is going on but there is no commentary. I'm not so sure what they will do for Sc2 though. | ||
