So, it seems that drinking games are now competing to see which will kill participants the fastest?

wow this is the first and last time i buy a mlg hq pass. What a disaster. The quality is also extremely bad. If this is hq wtf is lq?

I really wish everything would work well, I was MLG to succeed and be awesome, but its hard to root for this failure right now. =(

So far this has been a pretty terrible showing for MLG's Starcraft 2 support......I would really like if we got any kind of information as to WHY all of this is happening.
I was going to buy the pass, but there is no reason to at all, nor would I want to give any money to this organization if this is what they bring to the scene.
NASL please don't let this happen to you!!!

Delayed purchasing an HQ stream pass because MLG is notorious for these issues, and wanted to see how things were working technically. Was hoping they addressed them for 2011, but it looks like they haven't. Definitely keeping my money on this one.

wow this is awful, stream doesnt reload and dies randomly. GG Mlg for wasting my time.

I keep hoping that next time, maybe MLG's streaming will get better. I want to support esports. I keep buying an HD pass every season, and this KEEPS happening. Now I can't even see the homepage. Unless every time there is an order of magnitude more viewers than before, there is no excuse for this happening this many times in a row.
Stream crashing, bad quality, weird looking contrast, octoshape even failed so hard it didn't work on either Firefox or IE and I had to install chrome for it to even function. Octoshape has taken my 20mb down / 5mb up connection down to a crawl and I still see ads on top of all this every time I switch my HD button to see if I can actually tell the difference from LQ.
Not to mention that I believe octoshape is P2P, so it's not like MLG is even using the money to maintain streaming servers. I'm paying to have MLG gobble up my bandwidth and give me almost the same exact quality. This is just greedy. They could just partner with justin.tv, cut a bit of the profit and have a perfect beautiful stream. Look at TSL's stream. I'm sure justin.tv would be THRILLED to stream the SC2 MLG.
I'm a polite, understanding person, but this has gotten beyond that point. I intermittently see day9 for 5 seconds and then the whole thing goes down again. They should be paying me $50 to waste my afternoon hitting f5. This isn't melodrama, this complete crap. GSL, TSL, IEM can all do it right the first time, MLG STILL can't do it.
I'm done supporting MLG.

No one is more upset than I am with the issues we're having. Stream quality should be better. Stability is still a struggle. 1 minute ago Favorite Retweet Reply ^From Sundances twitter.

Top Story today. 4000+ internet geeks have suffered alcohol poisoning today.
When asked what happen, one teen-aged patient said "Stick a fork in those buns" before calling out "Nurse!"

Looks like no esports in America!! Sad to say it. Esports in america will not do as well as intended with this kind of quality . . . are you two serious? This one of the most melodramatic and completely BS things I've seen in a tournament thread. This is an entire step up from the people that normally just make comments about lag deciding a tournament and stuff. You have absolutely no basis for this, the stream has barely even been up and you're being fucking ridiculous. I've commented on the quality a bit, too, but at least I've been rooted in what's actually happening and not completely unfounded speculation that makes no sense whatsoever. As part of my own pledge to lower the percentage of posts like yours I will make no more comments on the stream quality in this thread, only the games. Grow up. Unfounded speculation? If you want people other than SC2 fanbois (who are already watching) to watch your "esport" you need to make it as easy and convenenient as possible, like: Have the event start on timeHave the event broadcast actually workHave the event broadcast quality be high enough to show the gameplay (e.g., not pixelated) Actually show games played at the event instead of commercials and commentary, sprinkled with the occasional game. This is not "unfounded speculation" but rather Event Production 101. This. I can't really believe people are defending MLG at this point. Hey. Hey guys. We're talking about eSports. Yeah, eSports, not MLG. You know, that thing which is only one tournament series out of many?
That is not "Event Production 101" but rather Reading Comprehension 101.
