I'm guessing they made that video before the qualification was done and there were Germans / Americans in it.

Pretty sure TT1 and Huk are American, both from the state of Canada iirc.

I don't think he likes 4-gate PvP(other P's also, but they use it more). He said that PvP is his worst matchup and from recent tourneys I think it is true. He can defeat anyone in beautiful games, but early game he often makes blunders that in PvP are too deadly. Sad that he got PvP wanted to see more of his games.

He barely not defended the 4 warpgate push when he had his 4th gate like 2 minutes later.... Seriously, if he'd done a regular four gate, san wouldn't have stood a chance.

san prooobably wouldn't have attacked if white-ra didnt do 2 gate every game

hey guys i just tuned in, how the hell did dimaga won against the 100% win for nestea in zvz.

pls give me an answer

im so happy for him, he is sooo sympathic

Dimaga lost first game as he went banelings vs. roaches.

Dimaga won second game with a 10 pool all in vs nestea's hatch first.

Dimaga won third game macro style by gaining little advantages through out the game. Like catching a group of lings. He was just getting his stuff faster than nestea, like faster third, faster upgrades, faster hydra den while staying pretty equal on drones.

He had a slight advantage since the beginning. I didn't catch the time when he powered the 3rd but by this time it already felt it was his game to lose.

ZvZ is crazy but I love it. It comes down to scouting and timings even more so than the other Z matchups because you have to react to droning and tech on top of unit comps. I lose lots of them but I never feel "angry" about ZvZ, I feel outplayed. And on the 3rd game Dimaga pretty much outplayed Nestea. Not saying he's better than him or anything, but it felt like a state of the art, pure, academic ZvZ win on every count

So you make 4 gates to not attack and let white get his robo? C'mon..

I'm not sure I would call Dimaga a -better- player yet than Nestea, but he's certainly proven he's on the same level, which when you think about it is insanely crazy already. It's a Bo3, which numerous amounts of pros have said are still not very good judges of true player skills, and of course Game 2 was some crazy metagame build order win.

But in game 3, we see Dimaga really is at Nestea's level, or at least that's how it appears. Nestea loses a queen early and a TON of zerglings in an overextended early aggression, after that Dimaga is just ALWAYS ahead. Nestea and Dimaga were playing almost exactly the same, but Dimaga was just a couple moves ahead because of some mistakes Nestea made. To play ZvZ like that, on Nestea's level, a guy who until tonight was undefeated in ZvZ in tournament matches while playing some of the best Korean Zergs, is a crazy thing to believe.

Is Dimaga better than Nestea? Lets wait a couple weeks or even months and see how things go guys, it was just one set after all guys, and it was VERY VERY VERY close at that. Whatever the case those, Dimaga continues to impress, San's ZvP seems good though, tough match coming his way.

Always good to have a voice of reason around. Hearing statements like "dethroned the King of ZvZ" being thrown around so casually is a bit annoying.

But Nestea HAS been dethroned. After not losing any ZvZ game at all, dropping a Bo3 is a huge deal. That doesn't mean Dimaga is the new kind or even that he's a better player than Nestea.

Just means that Nestea is no longer undeafeted. No reason to play an awesome moment like this down.

I think what a lot of people are missing is that Dimaga playing NesTea in that final game of the Team League is what really prepared Dimaga in beating NesTea today. Dimaga was able to see what he could and couldn't do against NesTea and that loss really got to him.

That 3rd game on Terminus RE was like a redo for Dimaga, and this time he made all the right decisions, all the right reads, and knew when to squeeze in drones.

All in all, great series by Dimaga.

No doubt, Dimaga deserves his win 100%, but the conclusions a few people are jumping to are ridiculous. That's why I posted earlier about how it's too bad they're probably not going to play each other for a very long time, if ever, in a tournament setting, so Nestea will never have the chance to try for his revenge (or, if Dimaga's really THAT good and solid at ZvZ, Dimaga won't have his chance to truly prove that his ZvZ is better than Nestea's)

I think the main difference between the two is that Dimaga seems more flexible with his builds, he can range from a July-like aggression to a more passive macro Nestea-like game. Having a very diversed play style makes Dimaga a scary opponent to face.

Sorry everyone, I really don't know what else to say ...

Tell me about another pro who is actually apologizing to his fans when not playing as well as he could. I'm not a fanboy, I just don't get the mocking.

And oh yeah.
GO DIMAGA!!!

Lots of players apologize to fans in interviews after bad performances... HuK never gives credit to opponents when he loses, always talks about himself and how good he is, just not very likeable. There is a different between months ago and weeks ago. But he's always full of himself.

And due to the fact he can't even support his arrogant behaviour with results despite practising in korea, he gets lots of people mocking him.

I know, he definitely could do four-gate and defend, but I was trying to say that he seems to use it only as last resort and that is often too late.

Last I checked, Chris is white. Ive never heard that term applied in anything but a derisive way towards whites (or at least non-asians), almost always by other whites. So wtf.
