Koreans who always play on the korean server probably never experience lag. So this might aswell have been the first time MVP played with some major lag. Could throw your game of quite a bit.

Still were well played by Adel

Without mass collossus balls the TvP match up is certainly more enjoyable to watch.

BTW, could someone tell me how long ago these games were played? Is it like 1 day old or are all matches in this round already played?

When you play under huge lag conditions, u cannot expect even the best player in the world to perform optimal. You get demoralised and say to yourself "whats the point when i got 2 sec delay". If they played this on lan, MVP would roflstomp him, i'd put heavy $ on that bet.

id take that bet, the thing people dont really say is that MVP is out there, he is a known figure and he has TONS of games to study, scot while DAMN good is no where near exposed as MVP so he can not be studied like MVP can

back to my point, ill take that bet!

Well done to Adel, but there's no way he holds a nexus first on that map without MVP having 1-2 second lag.... if you take away the lag that marine and reaper kill everything and it's gg.

Adel played really well to take advantage of his early economy lead but you can't deny that without lag MVP wins that game.

this is so stupid, the lag is so obvious. and the casters getting so happy that mvp lost.

seems like handicapped koreans without micro can lose . thats all

MVP didnt loose cos of lag. He lost cos he had no idea what to do against Adelscott's style. Just face it Adelscott was prepared 10x better.

why do people blame lag? You can only blame lag if F91 is playing

It's obvious TvP relies a lot on marauders/marines micro/drop, thus lags affects Terran much more in this mu.

MVP MM micro on both game looked like the one of a low diamond level scrub.

Look at that reaper and marine both surrounded,by probes in game 1, are you fucking kidding me ? That was pure lag, nothing exciting to see Adel getting a huge lead because of MVP's inability to exploit Adel early game weakness since micro is undoable.

I really don't want to blame any of this on lag but my god the beginning of metal was so terrible there's no way MVP just screwed up that bad with his marine getting surrounded and his reaper dying to probes with only 1 zealot out and no stalkers... I think any mid diamond player on NA could have done a better job with those two...
Apologize.

I can't see how people are not seeing the obvious lag with the lower than par kiting by MVP. If you guys even noticed, his kiting was delayed in the middle between moving and attacking which give the Protoss time to move back because the attack was delayed. And that made MVP unable to chase the Protoss army because of the distance.

By the way, it's 4AM in Korea. 3AM + when the series started. I'm pretty sure EU time is wayyyy closer to NA time.

Adelscott played well but MVP played very badly due to delay.

While the lag might be there these games are all casted from replays. Time is not a factor.

at this point I really don't see any koreans getting very far in this tournement. You simply can't compete at top level with latency. If you cant out micro probes with a reaper you know somethings wrong.

We shouldn't be blaming this on the lag completely. Lag is playable, spikes aren't. We don't know what happened so

GRTZ Adelscott!

To all complaining about the lag, remember it was the same for both players.

Keep in mind that good TvP and average/bad TvP is almost all about micro. MVP lost a marine and a reaper to probe surrounds. Lag seemed to play a decent role here.

this. you could see late reactions all over the place which is untypical of mvp. not to take something away from adelscott, but i think without the lag which let mvp fall behind early in game 1 mvp would surely win against a player with 3k 1k overmins.
