Don't misinterpret, I'm not saying he's not a great player. But being at the top of the ladder is not exactly an indicator of incredible skill, 90% of the top players on the KR ladder are unknowns as the pros play mostly customs.

QXC drops the nat and loses the medivac and some of the units. QXC drops the main again and kills a few probes before leaving.

Both players still on two base and 0-0. Genius getting +1 Air weapons and has 2 stargates. QXC tries to drop the main again and loses it but gets a few probes again.

QXC now with two starports with reactors to counter the incoming phoenix-es. QXC also getting a Ghost Academy.

15:30
Genius harasses the nat with his phoenix killing a few mules and SCVs. No missile turrets there. Qxc drops the main again which is repelled by zealots and phoenix. But it's forcing him to stay on two base and he's drying up.

Qxc now with a 3rd base.

18:00
Genius now with 4 Colossus. If Qxc doesn't snipe them with his vikings he may be in trouble. Qxc does have supply advantage but weaker army.

Qxc building a 4th CC at his 3rd. Phoenix kill a lot of SCVs at the natural but it's not that useful because Qxc has a 3rd.

Vikings snipe a Collosus caught out of position!

19:45
Vikings caught out of position, and get attacked by viking. Both armies engage but Genius loses a lot of his Colossi. Genius had a better position but Qxc with the better from the battle. Genius has a lot of phoenix left and uses them to lift up units and kill them. Qxc loses nearly everything but has enough econ to recover from this easily.

22:00
Genius still going for phoenix. He has a small ground army but has 2 colossus. Qxc controls 3 of the towers so can see nearly everything. Missile turrets deny more phoenix harass.

23:20
Qxc with 2-2 upgrades on bio, Genius with 0-0. Genius finally with a third base but Qxc has 4 bases and 20 more supply and upgrades.

24:40
Genius snipes a few Viking and marines but Qxc slowly building up again.

Both player engage but Genius has a bigger army and FFs block of reinforcements. Genius still has his huge phoenix fleet.

25:00
Genius loses two phoenix flying over some turrets. He starts a 4th base but Qxc still has econ advantage. He really needs to EMP the phoenix which has so much energy.

Genius finally getting upgrades. Qxc snipes the colossus and several sentries. Phoenix clean up but Genius has no ground army now. Qxc rebuilding so fast.

In my opinion. The reason why us "foreigners" can keep up is BECAUSE of the upgrades. We are sooooo good at upgrading, if you look at the koreans, they don't upgrade. HongUn had some fancy double forge strat but Tyler IMPROVED it.

Compare Genius with qxc on upgrades. qxc outplays him!
