It makes you really slow and then P just walks around you. Thors also blow vs range upgraded collosus. Plus just pure marauder/viking/ghost is an easy win if you can get a few good EMP's off

Missile turrets deny more phoenix harass. 23:20 Qxc with 2-2 upgrades on bio, Genius with 0-0. Genius finally with a third base but Qxc has 4 bases and 20 more supply and upgrades.

Right now the skill gap just isn't that big. It will increase as professional gamers in Korea and elsewhere take up their SC2 jobs and spend another year-two on refinement.

Genius beat Mvp, yes (which is Mvp's worst MU by far), but Genius also lost to DAVIT, Rain, and Rainbow, all Cheese/Harass based Terrans, which is exactly like QXC, not Mvp Yea because qxc is as good as Rainbow, like evenly matched and all that.

So giving the EU player a free win for ALL 3 sets is better? As FXO tested, you get 400 ping (~1.5 sec) NA - Korea, while EU to NA is only 150 ping (~0.5 sec). lol what?

How is that the same for both players? Thats like saying well MVP knew that he was going to play in this big tournament and that he would be playing on the NA server, if he didnt get used to the NA server, it is his falt, its a sad fact, but what would have been better, adel play on KR just because he isn't korean, or MVP play on EU because he is korean, it the best that could have happened. Not to say that it didnt effect him, but in all reality i would like to think that he knew that there would be lag.

Just an fyi, Root Ddoro did exactly that in the FXOpen thread yesterday, as potential explanation of similar "upsets" in that tourney: DdoRo Canada. March 26 2011 12:08. Posts 83 PM Profile Quote # ok, I talked to both koreans and european players about the lag issue. there is almost no lag for EU players playing on the NA server, but Koreans actually have alot more latency than it seems they have. two days ago, I tried to play with my korean friend on the NA server for 2s. he was complainin alot about lag, he's forcefield went down like 1.5sec after he actually put it down Also, in oGsMC's interview for TSL, he mentioned he went for colossi+void ray just to 1a, because he couldn't micro vs Ciara. Also, boxer and his gf mentioned about lag. We'll have a decent amount of evidence around relative Korea - Foreigner level and whether lag has a major impact by the time TSL is over. We'll have the results from multiple international tourneys with both onsite and online play to look at: IEM and GSL World Championships with onsite play, and TSL and FXOpen with online play. Until then we can just enjoy the games, and hopefully avoid throwing around irrelevant political names to denigrate a potentially legitimate position.
