Players such as Jinro, HuK, and Adelscott did not apply for this tour, so don't ask why they aren't on this list. DIMAGA, Kas, and LaLush turned applications in late so they will not appear either. Please take some time to learn who exactly applied. Please inform yourself about who applied and who didn't. |

I can see Fruitdealer not making it simply because his play has been rather weak lately. The only good recent matches I've seen him in were the last up/down matches.
Hm, now that I think of it Demuslim would be a good choice simply because it would give the UK a player in the NASL (assuming he doesn't get in any more bar fights! j/k =) ).
Did you see his match against Mvp on GSTL2? It was awesome.
And he is way better than many of the selected, so the "not making because his play is rather weak lately" isn't an good excuse imho.

Is the divisions set in stone? 'cuz they are kinda imbalanced so to speak...

Lol group 5 is so ridiculous, someone on their selection team must really hate idra

I've updated the full list once again.
The player field is stacked and it's becoming increasingly clear (well, I've said since this I first compiled the list tbh) that lots of really strong players and fan favourites from all servers will not make the cut. Impossible to avoid when you get 120 applicants for 50 spots.
Quick question: do people want the list ranked by race, country, TLPD ELO rating (INT or KR?), GosuGamers ELO rating,or Money ranking? Because after the final update tomorrow, I'm going to leave the list as is, for reference.

Really how in the right mind can fucking division 5 be like this?
this isnt just the group of death..
most of those players can be and probably are better than players in the other groups
and im embarrased that players probably like morrow wont be in this. morrow is the best foreign zerg besides ret and idra
i can think so far of
Fruitdealer, clide, tester, Boxer, Min, bomber, july, virus, nada, mc, supernova(WHO JUST RAPED fx open on fucking "lag servers KR -> NA), inca, the WIND(been in Code S for every SEASON), top, Thorzain, minigun, lyn
and it doesnt matter if FD hasnt won lately, he won the fucking Gsl and has been in code s since.

Assuming they keep the divisions balanced by race: Division 1: 3T / 3P / 3Z - Any race will do. Division 2: 3T / 4P / 2Z - Needs Zerg Division 3: 3T / 3P / 3Z - Any race will do. Division 4: 4T / 2P / 3Z - Needs Protoss Division 5: 3T / 3P / 3Z - Any race will do.
Assuming Division 2 gets a Zerg and Division 4 gets a Protoss tomorrow that leaves us with and overall count of: 16 Terrans, 16 Protoss, and 15 Zergs with 3 slots left to fill.
Once again assuming we stay on the balanced number of races theme that means we should expect tomorrow to be at least 2 Zergs and then either 2 Protoss/1 Terran or 1 Protoss/2Terran.
I'd most likely expect the 2 Terrans (Boxer, Nada), 1 Protoss (MC) and 2 Zergs (July, Morrow).

I'd most likely expect the 3 Terrans (Boxer, Nada, and Clide) and 2 Zergs (July, Morrow). I wouldn't be surprised to see one of the Terrans left off that list for MC though. TLO is random, btw.

group 1 will get a T (3 P, 3 Z, 1 R, 2 T... even it out with 1 T) group 2 will get a Z (4 P, 2 Z, 0 R, 3 T... even it out with 1 Z) group 3 will get a anything! (3 P, 3 Z, 0 R, 3 T... can be anyone 3/3/3) group 4 will get a P (2 P, 3 Z, 0 R, 4 T... even it out with 1 P) group 5 will get a anything! (3 P, 3 Z, 0 R, 3 T... can be anyone 3/3/3)
My predictions:
group 1 will get... NADA group 2 will get... MORROW group 3 will get... JULY group 4 will get... MC group 5 will get... BOXER
This is assuming they want at least 3 Z, 3 P, and 3 T in each division.

Right but his best race is terran. I'm assuming giving a huge tournament scenario he would play his best race as he did for the TSL.

I think (and I don't know how the NASL rules handle this) he plays Random vs P/Z and chooses Terran for TvT. Depends on whether the NASL will allow him to choose his race before each game, or whether he will have to commit one way or the other beforehand.
But yeah, not that it really matters for counting.

Cloud is still the guy who beat MC and Idra in the FXOopen so hes not exactly a pushover (walkover lol?). Still, division 5 is still probably the most stacked. Overall pretty good groups, and the last round of korean players just made this tournament much more interesting to me.

Awesome, with 5 more koreans I think the list pretty good, at least good enough to make for lots of entertaining games. Some questionable choices of course, but SC2 is still really volatile (as in the skill of players) so I don't mind that much. Kinda dislike the way they chose the players, but I can understand that a league of 50 is really hard to fill with qualifiers, and if it were best of 1 qualifiers you would encounter almost the same number of "randoms".
|
all i can say is if morrow doesnt get in and if thorzain doesnt get in after his recent tsl performance, ill be really pissed since they are 10x better than these other players in the league
