That's not how you judge people. You judge them based off of overall results, not a single day's performance. You could watch Foxer's first match in GSL2 against BabyWeRRa and go, "Oh, man, this guy is terrible, how could he be in Code S" and ignore all his other accomplishments. But you can judge on recent performances more than on accomplishments. Read Boxer. I agree. I'd say SuperNova's code A performance counts a recent. You are running circles in your argumentation to prove a point now. SuperNova did not play good in these Up and Down matches. Period. TheBest was dissapointing bad, otherwise SuperNova would not be in Code S with the performance he displayed, despite of what he did with mid tier Code A players. I don't see how you would argue against that. He played brilliant in Code A, but this was not what I expect from a Code A runner up in Up and Down matches in a very easy group.
Running circles around my own argument? How so? You can try to discredit my points with vague blanket accusations, but I'd love to see you actually substantiate them.
Let me show you how to actually substantiate things.
You try to handwave SuperNova's Code A performance by calling the people he beat "mid-tier Code A players". Don't know if you're aware of this, but two of those "mid-tier code A players" happen to be in code S now. Another one exhibited nigh unstoppable PvT in the GSTL, even taking down MVP in a ridiculous macro game. I wouldn't call that "mid-tier Code A". You're not saying anything other than going, "Oh but he played badly in the Up/Down matches", which is hardly a substantial argument for being undeserving of Code S.

Yeah, I think the time off helps them so much, and prevents them from getting stale.

You have to be smoking low grade crack to expand there...Nice cheese lesson by Losira.

Wow Losira makes it into Code S so easily, would have liked to see him do some macro, but hey at least he made it in!
Hopefully Rainbow plays TvP better than MVP did =/

Yeah, I think the time off helps them so much, and prevents them from getting stale. it also probably gives them more incentive to improve.

So guys, Day9 got me hooked on text twist, and I was playing while watching these games...not photoshopped!

I think the games got a lot better this season, casters can't do magic if the game is boring ^^

Have you ever played TvT yourself? What do you expect from a Code A runner up? Not that it would be relevant or even make sense to ask but yes I expect him to beat two low-tier Code S players as Polt and TheBest in a convincing way when he intentionally picks them, knowing that he plays 2 TvTs. Otherwise he is just Code A material and does not need to advance. Is that too much to ask for?
Except Polt showed himself to have impressively improved, and he outclassed TheBest so much that it didn't really matter if he played a bit sloppy or not. You make all these assumptions about the skill level of SuperNova's opponents to try to understate his wins or overstate his losses.

I think the games got a lot better this season, casters can't do magic if the game is boring ^^ This. But also i think that theyve been doing it for awhile now, they are bound to get better. Also their work load isnt as big, so maybe they are doing a better job because of a lower stress load
