That's just gambling, and it worked this time, but it's not something you can do two games in a row.
then doesn't that leave inc. at fault for not scouting so much hidden tech?

Off topic: If Incontrol wins this, is this going to be his 1st win in GCPL? I don't remember him winning any other match ups.

Are you guys blind to the Mutas or what? Inc started pushing out after Blink got researched. The extra bases were possible not because of lack of scouting (because if Inc could have scouted, he would have), but because he was penned in his bases. Not the greatest read by Inc lead to Mutas, lead to harass, lead to expansions, and that was game.

Inc's PvZ is widely accepted to be top notch ('I had EG.Incontrol at my house and he beat ALL the top zergs - Artosis), and he's known for not 4gating. But they can't all be 25 minute macro games, get over it. If Ret was so much better he'd be able to hold off a 4gate, and if Inc was so convinced of his inferiority then he would be 4gating every game.

Um, you mean like how he hallucinated a colossus instead of a phoenix and tried to walk it into ret's base? yeah, that was just plain silly

Yeah that was pretty funny, although it would have only delayed the hatchery for about 10 more seconds, since lings were already out.

Roach bust beats sentry expand as shown by losira in the GSL. We'll see if ret goes for early pressure.

Ret taking another early third. Incontrol should be scouting this

Ret sneaks 2 lings into iNc base! Scouts everything out! iNc kicking himself hehe and throws down a robo now; roach speed, burrow, and missile attacks level 2 on the way for Ret now.

Ah if iNcontroL pushed right now, that would be a pretty good timing attack.
But instead, he's powering, throwing down a robo.
He's definitely not putting enough pressure on Ret.
|
I feel like ret has inc's macro style figured out
inc's 'shark mode' during mid game is to threaten that a 6gate or some weird huk timing is coming, but almost everytime inc is 'faking' aggression so ret just realizes this and knows inc is not going to attack so he grabs a 3rd and gets a pretty big econ lead

He's definitely not putting enough pressure on Ret. On his stream, he always waits for obs to move out. He's afraid of burrowed roaches.

There's no "reading" involved, he was just hoping. You don't scout your opponent and go "ah, I can tell this guy's build doesn't give him the ability to scout hidden expos", you take it and hope he doesn't scout. You see how incontrol didn't 4 gate because he knew he couldn't get away with it twice in a row? Ret's playing differently in game 3 for the same reason: he knows what he did in game 2 will never work twice in a row.
Now ret's playing standard in game 3 so if he wins this, he would definitely be playing better than incontrol.

Ret making a ton of lings
iNc denies Ret taking the gold; Collossus tech is out and should have them on the way soon.. Thermal lance also on the way but Ret just dropped the spire..
Ret moves to iNc 3rd base attempting to deny it; iNc tries to move into position but Ret denies it and backs out, a couple lings scout out iNc base

July 6 Pools, he's a genius for messing with the mental game. iNcontroL 4 gates and he fails, makes sense to me
