I dont get this, why does so much of the german community dislike him?, his esl guestbook is kinda retarded with all the hate comments on it, so what if he is or was bm to some players, he didnt bm you personally

I think this will be very close, but I'm gonna give the edge to Morrow who seems to be a more consistent player.

I used to dislike him too but since it seems like he really improved his behavior this is totally gone but I can understand that especially germans don't like him because the stuff he did while his stay in germany was a bit more then "bm to some players".

think naniwa will take it, no offense to MorroW, hes great ZvP, but when nani plays well hes top 2 PvZer outside of kr imo, he has like a 70% win in it too or something insane^^

Simply put, Naniwa has been a douche for pretty much all of his career until he "promised to better himself" at the end of 2010 (i.e. it's only been a few months). This started in War3 and continued in SC2. Online and in tournaments, he was arrogant, cocky and BM, exploiting his position as a known player to forfeit/delay matches without any consequences, and being a condescending prick in general. There are so many stories of players and tournament admins having some kind of issue with him or his behaviour that it's not even funny.

Then there's his personal life. He basically threw school to play War3. He got thrown out by his parents because they wanted him to make something out of his life (that's when he was 15, mind you) and all he did was gaming, ignoring their wishes/requests.

Despite all this, the guy still received support. Sponsors still enabled him to continue playing and thus encouraged his behaviour - it worked, after all. Fast forward a bit and he plays SC2, has a sponsored appartment in Germany to play in the EPS ... and manages to screw that up by completely ignoring the rules and collecting more penalty points than humanly possible. Something no other pro gamer has ever managed to do. League kicks him, he loses his sponsorship, his appartment and his clan kicks him. But instead of trying to do some concession and at least leaving on good terms with everyone, he basically vanishes, doesn't even tell his roommate (ClouD) he's gone and - surprise! - once again gets a sponsorship and is paid to play games once he's back home.

And at the end of all this in late 2010, he promises to "change". He says his BM days are over and acts as if all this was a thing of his distant, teenage past, when the last cases of him being a rude, unprofessional person happened mere weeks before that statement.

TL;DR:

Naniwa has screwed his education, the relationship to his parents, several memberships in sponsored clans, even sponsored appartments and friendships because of gaming and lacking social skills. This guy is the stereotypical addicted gamer oblivious to his sorroundings who doesn't need support with what he's doing, but professional help. Sadly, he's skilled enough at SC2 to make it pay for him.

If he actually manages to mature and improve himself I'll be genuinely impressed. But he'll have to keep a professional attitude for a really long time (read: years) before I believe he's changed. He has so many years of bad behaviour to make up for.

And that is why I want him to lose every single game he plays. Because he's the worst representative possible for Esports. Sorry for the long text, but I really dislike this guy.

Why should you cheer for people that resort to flaming their opponents or start with balance whining just because they lost a game? Its just childish and annoying.
Nerchio and Satiini are in the same category btw.
Naniwa has somewhat improved lately though.

Naniwa is good and all, but not that good. Then again, nobody is good enough to win a Bo7 in 3 wins...
I just have to say, damn good players should be good.

Even though having a mysterious and dark background doesn't escuse his behavior, he obviously had to handle some very tough situations that no child of his age should have been forced to handle.
Contrary to a spoiled kid whose name starts with an I, his mentality and bad-mannerism is understandable, though not escusable ofc.
