This thread is for discussing the games, not crying about balance. Thanks. |

Ret played FLAWLESSLY that game without even losing an expansion. His upgrades were 2-1 at the final push. Yet he loses.
Objective analysis of that game much welcomed. You could argue that having your whole zergling force on Hold position next to siege tanks, banelings going in before the zerglings and well.. only having a small number of blings isn't ideal. He did play well, until the final engagement.
Goddamn ret

the marine is a great unit

Is it me, or i see zergs getting owned left and right ? Did some zerg in code S survived (exept July)?
|
My liquidbet totally got destroyed. Ret ;_;
|
As a zerg player myself I can't blame terran for how that went down. Ret just didn't control his armies properly, ran lings into tanks, mutas into marines and had way too few banes and infestor even though he had 3k/1k
|
the fuck man, jjob sure is good, but i feel that ret gave that game away, he had a considerable lead and map control

Ret is five times as good as 99% of Code A and doesn't even win a game.
Mate, ret lost his 2nd game because he wasn't prepared for the terran final push not because of imbalance.

I don't understand why he didn't make any. Did he just make a million billion mutas with all his gas? are you killing? million billion tanks and tanks. banelings is ideal counter to all those marines but would not have worked in situation.
I think he just needed to position his units close to his opponent's base instead of chasing 1 medivac with 80 lings :X Maybe even burrowed banes. GGs though. hope this doesn't deter Ret.

Mutas had nothing to do with that broheim

Don't compare Jjob to 1A terrans please... from what he is shown so far he might even be MVP class soon.

Marines are one of, if not the, most cost efficient unit in the game

Same place as the skill with banelings and attacking a ball of marines. Only ret didn't make banelings.

I might have to follow your lead on that Fruitdealer is the last Zerg hope for me.
I also voted for every matchup with the letter P in it... Just because...

Zerg is too fragile. You can win, but it's much easier to lose. If you give up a single inch it always spirals out of control. It seems that to win you basically have to catch like 5 tanks out of position and snipe them or something.
|
SangHo better win now or I'm gonna be even more sad =/
|
Nooooooooo, LikeedLet... I felt like his "lead" was never that big since his supply is consisted mostly of zerglings, which are inherently useless against seiged up tanks. MMA picked a good time to push in while Ret's army is elsewhere.
|
These TvZs today haven't been balance problems- they've been strategy and execution problems
|
He lost his mutas and had too many zerglings and too few banelings, his attack was terrible :/
1st game was amazing but Ret lost the 2nd game more than M won it
|
Sad to see ret lose man, I wouldn't blame him in the slightest for leaving Korea. From recent interviews it seems like he isn't having the best time there and financially as a progamer he can support himself more from playing euro/na events. Best of luck to you bro whatever you decide to do, I'll always be rooting for you.

He had banes. Lots of them.
But hey, 5 bases isn't enough to beat a 3 base terran.
Nor is being 70 supply over the terran.
Nor is constant harass.
