I agree, the site is hard to navigate. This is one of the least userfriendly tourneys that i tried to follow.

So probably games will start soon. I am also very disappointed by ESL's organisation. Yeah, you can follow the schedule here:

and the streams as well, but it's very inaccurate and messy. Also - most of the games are not casted in english. I do realise that its a global tourney including CS, LoL and QL along with SC2, but still - the previous ESL events were far superior in terms of organisation and streaming...

Or maybe GSL spoiled me

Why aren't there soundproof booths for the players? And correct me if I'm wrong but it looks like the players are positioned so they can see the audience right behind their monitors.

almost all "LAN" tournament events are played on stages like this. Probably not cost efficient to do sound proof booths - especially for the team games like CS.

just bad not to have soundproof booths really.. Or let the players play in other areas and still cast it in the main hall or something like that.. Wonder how moon would have done if there was't for the cheering from all the people.

well i ve been there and i wonder if they didnt hear day9 shouting. The Players sat behind the Speakers but i still think they could hear very well the commentaries and the cheers and shouts.

But you have the same thing in other big online tournaments. If a player wants to trick he can join the live stream and hear the tactics of the enemys. I even wondered why day9 always commentated the tactics of the first minutes or the dangerous decisicions of the players. Only once he whispered out a commentary about a tactic as i can remember.

But i think the players concentrate on gaming and not on hearing.

why speculate when moon has already commentated that it was nto possible to hear the crowd
