For the last two groups there's guaranteed to be at least one protoss(group G with 3 toss 1 fruitdealer), with 2 terran/1 zerg/1 toss in group H(MKP, sCfOu, inca, kyrix).

Well, it can't get any worse than that, MVP and Nestea already went to the up and down matches, whoever it may be that gets eliminated from now on will not startle me that much.

In the remaining groups are 2 terrans, 4 protoss and 2 zerg, I think MarineKing(T), Kyrix (Z), Tester and Genius (P) are probably most likely to advance but as we saw today anything can happen : )
T_T too slow : (

Isn't Lyn known for having pretty APM anyway, at least from his WC3 days?

Will be perfect if BanBans loses his first Up&Down, but ends up taking out Choya in another frustrating 4 gate PvP. Remember that the up/down are fairly random, so you don't necessarily get the 3rd/4th that were in group stages in the same up/down group. Oh of course, somehow I always forget that.
Glad you mentioned it though. I thought Nestea and BoxeR were stuck in the same group, scared at the high chance one of them would be knocked out...
Looking at group G, realized it could get pretty crazy. I'm actually afraid anyproPrime will pull a SansZenith and end up taking out Fruitdealer or Tester... crazy upsets this GSL.

I don't see how you think fruit will get out of his group. His ZvP is very messy, and he's been on a decline since GSL1. Combine that with new maps, and he is not the favorite at all in his group. Unless he got his act together and really busted his balls to practice instead of snowboard like he said he will.

One wrong step and you're fucked. Both armies were extremely intimidating. Has nothing to do with apm. They could've easily harassed before the armies got intimidating. It was mostly just a passive build up to a blob. Lynn hasn't really shown any harass or drops so far. Stop applying day9's to code S players plz.

Man, I took a nap and drank some coffee to get ready for these matches, and now I'm wide awake at 2:00 AM with nothing to do... I need to pay more attention to when GSL starts in the future I guess.

Good point... Plenty of GSL champions are going to be in the up/down matches it seems.

Looking at the brackets we have: 1: MC vs Byun 2: Jinro vs Hongun 3: San vs TheWind 4: TBD 5: July vs Clide 6: Check vs Nada 7: Lyn vs Ensnare 8: TBD After that it's winner of 1 vs 2, winner of 3 vs 4 and so on. That means we can get Jinro vs MC in RO8, Jinro vs Nada in Finals, July vs Nada in RO8 for example.

This tournament has never been so open before in the Ro16 in my opinion.
|
It'd be funny if Rain meets Nestea in the up/down matches and gets completely rolled. I want him to get his revenge.
|
So far the only ex-champion that actually made it to ro16 so far is MC with only FD left. The other 2 NesTea and MVP both demoted to up and down matches will make this an easier path for MC to take this season :D This season was truly a slaughter of champions.
On the other hand this is probably the best time for someone like Jinro to take it without fearing NesTea AND MVP. Only obstacle is MC in the ro8 when Jinro wins his ro16 (I'm sure of it!).

I'm not sure if this is how it will work, but unless GOM does something special with IdrA's place he can be chosen for a group, meaning that the winner of code A can choose someone and they will both be guaranteed to move on. That could mean someone can choose MVP, Nestea or Boxer to get a game vs them and still get auto into code S.

The way I see GSL chances now the champion is either going to be a toss out of the big ones( MC, Hongun, Trickster, Genius, Inca) or Jinro will win the whole thing.

"Group E IMNesTea -> sanZenith -> SlayerS_BoxeR -> oGsEnsnare
NesTea: I picked Group E to avoid MarineKing and IMMvP. I want to have easy games to I chose sanZenith.
San: He is right about me being easy. I don't wish to get up that far. So I will choose the strongest player for Nestea. (Replies back to NesTea)
oGsMC : Pick me. Would I be a nuclear bomb in the group? (Says to San as he thinks about who to pick)
BoxeR : I don't know why he picked me, I hope I can get through in this group. (After being picked)
San : I couldn't see a player who could defeat NesTea but you.
BoxeR : I don't think San can beat NesTea either. Ensnare and TheWinD owes me a favour (as he chooses Ensnare), I helped them to take photos with SNSD.
Ensnare : I was going to thank him for picking me.. but I don't know what to say because he mentioned about SNSD photos.. I'm lost."
This guy is the biggest troll in the entire world. I think he must secretly by moot.

San went colossi a couple of times IIRC (I recall at least the last game against Ensnare). But then again he mixed up his army really well in that.

Wow. Jinro is quickly going up here as one of the favorites to take the whole thing! If IdrA was still in Korea, I could see both of them having a huge chance of taking the 1st spot. Just wow at the players going out!
