Now it's becoming abundantly clear: all of them need a voice coach. You cannot keep yelling into the mike like a maniac. You have to learn how to 'control' it. Either way, have some tea with honey and get some rest. I consider the landscape to keep changing drastically with new maps. I don't think we're anywhere close to having someone who is b-word material.

On the other hand, it seems that Tasteless's voice sounds better. It's clearer and less raspy today. Anyways, excellent matches today. Ironically, the "group of death" wasn't all too dramatic. Hyperdub displayed some interesting creativity with his rendition of the iEchoic no-tank build, though he completely fell flat in his next game with the longest delayed all-in I've ever seen. MVP's loss was tragic, but completely expected since Starleague winners never really do well in the subsequent Starleague, as exhibited by OSL, MSL, and now GSL. However, the "group of drama/Idra" turned out to be the highlight of the night. GOM has been making a huge deal about Idra's withdrawal, and seeing the awkward tribute video and the sight of his empty chair really made me LOL for the night. Also, Byun vs Zenio was one of the closest, back-and-forth, nail-bitingly tense ZvTs I've ever seen. Terminus as a map impresses us with another epic game, and I certainly look forward to seeing that map later in the GSL. I totally disagree with you, MVP vs JulyZ's first match was totally the most intense game and by very far the most dramatic in weeks(given the context of mvp being the number 1 and all that jazz), let alone today

It's quite sad though, I miss dominant eras like in Broodwar where players like oov or savior were just destroying back to back tournaments. I'm afraid we'll never see eras like that in SC2 for the simple fact that the game is much more fragile and less dependant on mechanics ![]() Which really intensifies the term "having a good day" to the extreme as it seems to be the only real differential at the very top.

Many of them would lose their voice after a few rehearsals because they had limited training in breathing exercises and don't know how to breath from their diaphragm. They cannot project properly. That's what happens when you are passionate about something, but don't have sufficient training to support it. Just experience. Nick has shown noticeable improvement over the years. After one day at WCG or Blizzcon he would lose his voice from shouting so much. Now, he can go on for extended periods of time. They should probably talk to Kim Carrier as he could give them some pointers. ![]()

I was pretty much like "July is gonna lose, MVP is gonna win. Wait, July won? How the crap did that happen?!?" July winning was so sudden and out of nowhere, and it seems he was quite lucky with his mutas exploiting an incredibly small timing window. The victory was so sudden that it didn't seem as "epic" as the long macro game played between Byun and Zenio, IMO. Game 2 of July vs MVP was anticlimactic IMO, especially since it pretty much was decided by a Barracks being lifted at the wrong time.

I dunno man. Having the same people win over and over again is pretty boring. I mean, why is it fun when it ends up being "well looks like player X wins again..."?
