true. but look at the groups - many of the tosses would stay no chance in other groups tbh. pretty lucky for some of them

Interesting there are people out there disappointed with Grubbys performance. Guy went 1-2 with one of Europes better Terrans and almost beat him after only a few weeks of dedication to SC2. I thought Tyler and Sarens were going to roll him solely based on lack of experience. Positively surprised

so much sign nazgul. as i said: CodeS meets Silver

tyler and sarens both player very sloppy tbh.

Those eyes on the picture rofl, reminds me of my good old LAN days, he must have been knackered.
Think grubby put up one hell of a fight tbh vs people who've been playing sc way longer than him (tho it might just be dutch pride talking )

Can't wait to see Grubby when he has switched over to SC2 fully and has gained some more experience

Although considering the amount of top terrans in europe, thats a bit of an over statement but i do agree, what hes done is pretty amazing
From looking at the brackets we will prob have ret v nani in 2nd round of brackets , I honestly thought that would be finals

Awesome tournament. They should have more games on stage though.
|
Sarens didn't roll him, because he was sloppy too in that game Nazgul, i mean Grubby had the last game in the bag and yet he let his natural fall and suicided later to the contain. Both should have been tired to play a really low quality games, Grubby playing all day show\challenging matches didn't help i'm sure. Looking at the other side, i bet if this was 3 weeks in beta, the same amount of practice as everybody he would be pretty standard already, but we aren't at that point anymore.
edit: I'm sure if he dedicates 3 months to this game he will already be rolling some not that top level players like sarens.

We could see a Ret vs Naniwa in the second round, haha. That would be awesome. It is really hard to pick a game to watch tomorrow. So many good players. I am most exited for Kas vs Morrow, qxc vs Hasu, Tyler vs Strelok and DieStar vs Naama.
|
I'm a bit afraid for Morrow, I want to see a zerg do well, but Kas is really dangerous.
|
Are there replays anywhere?

The thing is though, Grubby did deal some proper opposition, even with the mistakes he and his opponents made, he didn't just get rolled. And he did show some flair. I wish he'd switch over tbh (he was trying his hand at being a hybrid right?), would really like to see where he'd be at in a few months.
Nice event so far, a few minor concerns aside, beastly tournaments ftw. It's going to get interesting now too! Speaking of which, oh lord what do we start at again? 10? Eh.. bye.
