Because unlike the black dragon league (in which the only zergs were invited i believe because they didnt win any qualifiers), this one was just qualifiers, is my guess.

The European Championship has started a few months ago with 24 players competing in it in an online group stage (before that we had national and international qualification). There were several Zerg and Protoss players in here, many others have failed to qualify this far: http://www.esl-world.net/masters/season5/europe_sc2/ This is what a "natural selection" of players throughout the tournament has brought us: 10 Ts and 2 Ps. While we would prefer a more balanced race distribution, those are the best players in the tournament so far. Each of those 12 players has played 5 or more matches to get to the live final. Like it or not, this reflects the state of the game in Europe over the months that have gone by. We would rather wait for the balance of the game to change than to discriminate against players who have earned their place among the 12 best in the continent fair and square. | ||
