They play to win, not to entertain the audience.

Someone else pointed this out, but it's not that simple. It's more like a Prisoner's Dilemma.

Even though each player individually plays to win, if everyone in the GSL played in the most boring/unentertaining way possible just to win, no one would want to watch them play and sponsors would leave, league would die, etc thereby losing out in the end anyways.

Then it's a problem with the game itself and Blizzard should take measures

Who knocked out MVP from the last GSL?

It's irrelevant who's fault it is, it can still be seen as a Prisoner's Dilemma model.

LOL @ Tasteless: Put your seat belts on, your water wings and your helmet.
MVP should STOMP all over Choya, but he did lose to him last GSL. Will he redeem himself? well, the long rush distance isnt favoring Choya rushing off one base
And that's what she said.

Well, I watch to be entertained. I'm not going to say that they're playing wrong for doing something boring and predictable, but it is disappointing and not as fun to watch.

Honestly, proxygates aren't that bad. Most of the time, we're seeing terrans responding improperly (rain taking his gas in GSL3...>.>)
