And to check in, go to the ASCWeekly chat channel. Still a lot of people who haven't been doing that. You need to be in there by 9pm EST.

Yeah, there is no direct affiliation between Challonge.com and ASCWeekly.com. However, making an account on both is free, and having an account on ASCWeekly.com allows you to participate in the community portion of the site, where you can get in touch with fellow tournament participants (maybe you need some practice partners!) or with the casters, including Sympatico or me (should you have any questions or comments for us). While an ASCWeekly.com account is by no means required to participate in the tournaments, it is encouraged to help you to stay connected to your fellow tournament go-ers! Best of luck in the Wednesday tournament. ![]() --ASCWseltsam

Can anyone provide direct link to the rules and/or bracket information? I seem to not be able to find it. EDIT: Found it at the bottom, those picture links are hard to see, i just saw pretty pictures!

If you'd like to sign up, please do so through http://ascweekly.com/registration/. @thurst0n. The real boxer's ID is SlayerSBoxeR and plays professionally. I would be rather surprised if SlayerSBoxeR was smurfing in the Amateur Starcraft Weekly tournaments as BoXeR. Currently there are no prizes for winning the tournament, but when there are we'll also be implementing a system whose purpose will be to prevent (or at least limit) smurf accounts. The rules can be found at this location: http://ascweekly.com/tournament-rules-map-pool/. The link is in the grey carousel just below the accordion banner. To all the sign-ups for tonight: We have enough for a 32-person bracket, but we'll continue with the 16 person bracket for now. If signups continue to be this plentiful, the format may very well change. If you signed up and don't make it into the bracket, remember that the first 16 people to have signed up will be given a spot. The rest will act as backups, though, so if there are any no-shows, you may yet have a chance to get into the actual tournament. Not being able to directly participate doesn't mean you can't be part of the action, though! Scoot yourself on over to http://ascweekly.com/live-stream/ and watch as we stream and cast the games!

That is kind of lame, and you should really close the signups if that is the case, not to mention put that in the OP. I was actually looking forward to something more my level... oh well =/ Agreed.

Obviously the gold/Platinum tournament is rather popular, and that means that in the future the brackets will probably be set up for a first round of 32. Registration is always open, but registering doesn't guarantee you a spot in the tournament. If you want to join the tournament, you can still sign up, but it's quite unlikely that you'll end up participating. We're sorry you can't participate next week, but we're still very new and trying to cater to a lot of people at once. We're bringing on new casters and admins to be able to handle the work load, since it was initially just two of us. Next week the Master and Diamond leagues are being split, so a lot of our efforts are focused in that area right now. I can't give an accurate estimate on when gold/plat will be expanded, but in all likelihood it will be in week 4 or 5. For the time being, I'd recommend you sign up as soon as possible in order to help assure that you get a spot in the tournament. We're doing our best to accomodate everyone, but in the meantime, sign up several days beforehand. The registration typically opens they day after the previous tournament concludes. Again, keep in mind that we are a new organization and only a few people strong. We're growing a lot faster than we had anticipated and we're doing everything we can to make ASCW a pleasurable experience for everyone. Sympatico and I spend the vast majority of our free time (and a lot of time that we don't have free -- a lot of times that he and I are on Skype discussing ASCW, at least one of us is usually at work). We're working as quickly as we can to do the best job we can. If you didn't get into this week's tournament, try registering earlier next time. And in the mean time, you can still be a part of the tournament by watching the stream or volunteering to help. We're looking for admins and officials to help the tournaments run more smoothly.

![]() However, you are right in the respect that there is a extremely large gap between low diamond and high diamond, or even master league. Maybe put greater than 2500 Diamond/Master league in one group and less then 2500 Diamond in one group ![]() Thanks however, for doing this awesome tournament!

As for the rest of the questions I'm sure that brings up, all I can say is that we're working on it. The specifics of our structure is still somewhat tentative, as we're bending it to fit the situations we find ourselves in. So some of these requirements may be dropped, and new ones may be added. In the mean time, we're asking everyone to follow the structure that is currently in place, even if you feel like something might be redundant or missing. Chances are good that we know the issue and are working on it since we're working on about 10,000,000 things at once still! @mixXanber: that's an idea that I brought to the table when I came on to the ASCW staff (which at the time was just Sympatico, a web template, and his handsome hopes and dreams), and possibly something to talk about in the future. Right now, though, we're still struggling to be able to deal with the incredibly fast pace at which the site is expanding, and we need to make sure everything we have runs smoothly before we start adding new stuff ![]() You're right in saying that low Diamond and high Diamond might not be the same, but the other thing I'm thinking is that the issue you're talking about (master-level players stuck in diamond) will resolve itself over time. It seems like temporary, so another thing to wait for before we decide to expand the leagues even more is to see how the master league thing plays out.
