That guy is such a player. "See I got a bunch of women, now come rejoin me."

I don't care what the real story of that song is.

Code S groups have the first 2 advance (I think 1st and 2nd is used to determine seeds in Ro16) and the last 2 compete to keep their place in Code S. Or perhaps only the last.
Code A is used as a tournament to determine who will fight Code S "losers" to grab their places. It's now a single elimination tournament, but it'll later turn into a group stage where the... I think it's the 2 firsts go on to fight with one of the Code S "losers" in a OSL Ro 36 fashion (both "A" contenders play and the winner goes on to play against the "S" for the Code S spot).

It's the top 8 of Code A (u need 2 matches won to get to here) that plays vs the 3rd and 4th place of Code S 1st groupstage.

Winner and runner up of Code A will be able to pick their opponents whilst the rest are randomly determined.
The code A player goes up against the 3rd ranked code S player first with the winner being able to stay/promote in code S whilst the loser will play another match against the 4th place finisher of the groupstage to determine the last code S spot.
The loser of these 2 matches will stay code A.

So in a very optimal scenario a maximum of 8 new code S players can get into the next GSL S league or there could be none.

I'm wondering why they are doing the Bo3 format in Code A but not in Code S. Why would they do this differently?

Gom said (junkka) somewhere about it costs more money and time which they want to avoid. This was also the reason why they made this format which always has 5 or 6 matches which they'll be able to plan their schedule on it so there won't be any delay.

Code A is 4-6 games (in quick succession though), Code S is 5-6 games, not that big a difference imho. Besides the Bo1 format in Code S also tends to lead to shorter games again, imho.

Anyway, thanks for clarifying!

There seems to be some rivalry between Rainbow and theWind.
