I feel like I've seen quite a few Protoss games on Blistering sands already, not a big fan of that map. Jinro, MC and Choya to round of 8, and probably Foxer but idc about him.

according to the chinese coach in the prime/we team, polt "almost never" loses tvts even against guys like foxer and maka. his play is highly varied and heavy in harass/cute tactical moves. not looking good for jinro, although there is always the possibility that polt messes up 2 too many times by being too cute.

Based on all of Polt's game from the 3 seasons, I think Jinro may have a hard time surviving the first 10 minutes of each set.

Marine 2 - Lee 0
MC 2 - July 1
Polt 1 - Jinro 2
IMmvp 2 - choya 0

Here are the scores I predict, bold is the one I'm cheering for. We need more protoss in Ro8! Hopefully at least one of them will reach Ro4!

Leenok
July
Jinro
MVP

Jinro will roll Polt so badly it will hurt in his grandchildren.

And Leenok will not even concede a win to Foxer.

Game 1: Foxer tries to rine/scv all in but fails and loses.
Game 2: Banshees + Insane marine micro beat Leenock on Scrap
Game 3: Longer game which sits 2 base to 2 base and leenock can't grab a 3rd causing Foxer to win.

oGsMC < Blistering Sands > ST_July
oGsMC < Xel'Naga Caverns > ST_July
oGsMC < Shakuras Plateau > ST_July

Game 1: Backdoor rocks makes me /cry, great roach play from July.
Game 2: Void Rays and/or phoenix play completely shuts July down and let's MC get the victory.
Game 3: Expect something cheesy because MC won't want this to go end game. Early 4 gate or blink stalkers maybe?

PoltPrime.WE < Jungle Basin > TLAF-Liquid`Jinro
PoltPrime.WE < Lost Temple > TLAF-Liquid`Jinro
PoltPrime.WE < Metalopolis > TLAF-Liquid`Jinro

I'm completely unsure on this match up. Jinro and Polt have both been playing tremendous but I'm not sure who has a better TvT. Going with Jinro 2-0 because ever since MLG Jinro has been dominating.

IMmvp < Metalopolis > choyafOu
IMmvp < Blistering Sands > choyafOu
IMmvp < Steppes of War > choyafOu

Game 1: MVP with great marine drop harass while taking complete control of the whole map.
Game 2: MVP goes cloak banshee while Choya decides to go quick DT. Free win for MVP as Choya has no detection.

same with these predictions
but doesn't MarineKing do pretty well on Shakuras though...

Tonight's games should be much higher quality than last night's, my predictions:

MarineKing 2:1 Leenock
--> Match of the ro16 imo, this is highly likely to go to a third game either way. Leenock is solid, but I feel that MarineKing might hit him with something unexpected (well, aggression is expected, but perhaps in a different form) and take the win.
July 2:1 MC
--> I think MC is kind of overrated, I don't think we've ever really seen him come out on top in a macro game. The maps are good for July, if he survives the early attacks then he should be fine.
Jinro 2:1 Polt
--> Jinro has a legitimate shot at taking this. Anything can happen in a TvT bo3, and it's supposed to be Jinro's best matchup. Polt did beat Boxer, but Boxer kind of beat himself in that series =/
MVP 2:0 choya
--> How does choya have 33% of the vote on PlayXP? I don't think this will be close at all...

MarineKingPrime.WE < Shakuras Plateau > LeenockfOu
MarineKingPrime.WE < Scrap Station > LeenockfOu
MarineKingPrime.WE < Jungle Basin > LeenockfOu

Game 1: MarineKing proxies barracks and attacks Leenock. Gets a queen then retreats. Leenock tries to fight back with speedlings and banes. MarineKing outmicroes banelings with marauder shields, then finishes off Leenock.
Game 2: MarineKing masses marines and kills Leenock through the mid.

oGsMC < Blistering Sands > ST_July
oGsMC < Xel'Naga Caverns > ST_July
oGsMC < Shakuras Plateau > ST_July

Game 1: oGsMC goes for 4gate, breaks back rocks, and attacks between front and back. July doesn't hold, gg's after losing too many zerglings.
Game 2: oGsMC goes for stargate opening. July scouts, double expands and tech up to hydras. MC tries to attack one of July's bases, but July nydus's MC's main, then defends MC's attack. MC gg's after losing army.
Game 3: oGsMC goes for cannon contain at July's ramp, while expanding at home. July doesn't break contain fast enough, gets nat too slow and econ cannot keep up with MC. MC masses up a force and kills July's third. July gg's after losing army.

PoltPrime.WE < Jungle Basin > TLAF-Liquid`Jinro
PoltPrime.WE < Lost Temple > TLAF-Liquid`Jinro
PoltPrime.WE < Metalopolis > TLAF-Liquid`Jinro

Game 1: Polt goes for marines and tanks timing attack. Jinro goes for cloaked banshee, while expanding. Jinro's banshees get deflected by Polt, and Polt's attack kills Jinro.
Game 2: Polt and Jinro spawn in close positions. Jinro goes for 1 rax expand, Polt goes for Thor rush. Jinro cannot defend against the Thor, and Jinro gg's after losing army.

IMmvp < Metalopolis > choyafOu
IMmvp < Blistering Sands > choyafOu
IMmvp < Steppes of War > choyafOu

Game 1: MVP and choya spawn cross positions. choya goes for 4 gate proxy rush. MVP scouts the rush, and bunkers up. choya's rush doesn't do enough damage. MVP expands and rolls over choya.
Game 2: choya goes for DT's. MVP goes for 1 rax expand. He repells the DT's and pushes out with his own force after getting ghosts. choya gg's after losing army to some nice EMP's.
The rest is silence.

Same predictions for me.

Leenock is good but MarineKing is just insane ... again unfortunate he has to kick out so many amazing players so early.

July vs MC ... not so sure but 2:1 July makes some sense.

Polt got a couple free wins against Boxer, Thor rush and the Banshees are really just build order losses, Jinro seems to play safe so I doubt that will happen to him, might even be 2:0 Jinro.

Choya is most likely going to get roflstomped, I'll watch the other 3 before checking recommended games but I'm not even watching those unless they are highly recommended.

I agree with the odds makers that July v MC will be the series of the night. Whoever wins i'll be happy with.

Jinro has a very very legit shot of beating PoltPrime (who must be good at TvT to beat boxer) since it is his best MU.

Would love nothing more than to see Jinro advance and get Code S. That would be so fucking amazing!

Great games.

Feeling Foxer to beat leenock.
God I hope MC wins and our protoss hero goes through. I had some funny punny bit about July losing earlier, but I forgot it T_T.

Meh. Choya is going to get raped.
