Plus, Leenock had a fully mining base that Clide was totally unaware existed. You could say he 'assumed' it was probably there, but, fact is he wasn't sure bc he didn't scout it.

Well, Clide isnt playing on his own computer, so having a working system is not his responsibility.
So I guess the ref can't make a different decision really.

Sucks for Leenock though, he's not likely to get that snipe at the tech lab again now that Clide is aware of his plan.

I wonder if players prepare a backup plan for just a case like this or if he only had prepared a single strategy for this specific map...

If Clide's computer had of crashed, instead of a B.Net error, there should have at least been a timeout/drop screen shown. Since Clide just left suddenly, I'm inclined to believe that B.net just dropped him.

Oh well, game's restarting.

I don't know how people can keep saying Clide would have lost. The only thing delayed stim really did was stop his Marine drop that he was about to do. The game ended as the second stim was about to finish and Clide was pushing out, there was no way to say Clide would have lost because of that.

to the people saying it was system instead of battle.net. it would not have been a instant drop if the computer crashed. it would of timed out with the connection window.
battle.net literally dropped clide from the game. it was instant. theres your proof.

3 seconds later I'm sitting at my desk, hardcore facepalming... System error, blargh. What's next, Linux pc's? Bootcamp-running-macs? Playing SC2 on UNIX mainframes? That last one would be awesome though

I respect that they're doing the same basic starters to their builds - would've hated seeing that first 15 minute game into a marine/SCV all in against early hatch.
