Then we see some nice attempts to trick the opponent by TheWind, faking mutas but going burrow roaches. This tricks Golden to make 4 queens, but sadly for TheWind those 4 queens owned him hard. In his first roach push (7 roaches) he had the superior forces (Golden had 0 roaches but an expansion) but he lost 3 or 4 roaches to 1 spinecrawler and 6 transfusions from 4 queens. After that it was mass roaches from both players but Golden had an expansion. Some nice contamination play by Golden as well but his superior forces overran TheWind. oGsTheWind < Shakuras Plateau > GoldenfOu My restream died here. The connection at work is big fail. Luckily I bought S3 ticket and I will watch it at home.

Game 1: Xel Naga Caverns + Show Spoiler + The wind goes for a 6 pool in an attempt to harass and force his opponent to make more units and overcommit to defense (he doesn`t continue to produce any zerglings after his first 6). As Tastosis mentioned, it could have been an attempt to steal a free game if his opponent went hatch first. Golden, however, goes 14 gas 13 pool and doesn't over commit. Wind goes fast lair into burrowed roaches, while Golden goes expansion/roach. TheWind delays burrow movement, and tries to time out multiple attacks. While very heavy micro based, TheWind`s attacks are defended excellent by Golden (who`s just 17, and played quite collected for his age) After investing in overseer`s to detect the burrowed roaches, Golden sends a spare overseer to Wind's base to goop both hatcheries- stalling Wind's ability to catch up in his drone and army count. In the end, Wind is unable to catch up being behind one base for so long, and loses to a mass roach push. Game 1 to Golden fOu EDIT; apparently it was a 6 pool into-econ. Will edit my op Game 2: Shakuras Plateau + Show Spoiler + Players are cross positions, and both go fast expansion into speedling-baneling. Golden goes 2 base roaches while Wind goes for mutalisks. Golden gets hydralisks well before the mutalisks get to his base, as well as an infestation pit, as Wind decides to grab a third base. Wind transitions to mass roach for defense, as he sees the attack coming, and is behind in army count. As golden pushes Wind's natural, Winds mutalisks attempt to do some damage to Golden's mineral line. Great fungal gmowths on multiple packs of Roaches allows Golden to clean up quickly with his hydralisks, as the mutalisks retreat to the base, it's clear Golden has hit critical mass of roaches, while having more than enough hydras to defend from the mutalisks. As the game is clearly over, theWind gets a full drone surround on a stray roach, killing it before GG'ing. GoldenfOu 2:0's oGsTheWind Now, while I had no problem doing that for those of you who missed the games- I think you should invest the fifteen dollars in a premium account. It is worth it.

Game 1 was amazing. Nestea was so close from being eliminated. Especially set 2 was awesome. Game 2 was above standard. I loved game 2 but protoss made some bad decision. It baffles me that he forces hydra play with a 4-pheonix opening and then makes gateway units. While mass zealotlegs + Collosus would have been free win. He also didn't expand while he needed the additional 2 geysers. Come to think of it, very bad protoss. Game 3 had a nice first set. Second set was key decision making by the Terran. Game 4 was awesome as well. Suddenly all the Terran whine stopped, I enjoyed that. Game 5 was one of the better ZvZ's played in GSL. It was an awesome evening for me. ![]()
