The first season they had quite a long pre-show with pop singers and speeches. But that was probably just to kick off the GSL as a whole. The second season they just had pre-show analysis and then it was right to the games.

The GSL so far has been pretty good, but I have to agree that there has been a distinct lack of kpop in general since the opening night of GSL1. IU doing voiceovers doesn't really fill the void...
