I know Artosis has seemed to get sick at each qualifier and Jinro has been sick in Korea a lot.
What's up that?

Top 32 from these 3 GSL's makes S-class. Top 33-96 makes A-class. After the real GSL season starts, there will be no open qualifiers, you have to work your way up from battle.net. But like I said a page ago. There are other GOM tournaments besides the GSL: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=141496 There will be 12 tournaments throughout 2011, and there will be 4 types of tournaments. 1. GSL (Ran in January, March, April, July and September) - Main League. 32 Code S players tournament and 64 Code A players tournament. 2. World Championship (Ran in June and October) - 4 representative from each region in a 16 man tournament. 3. Ladder Tournament (Ran in February, May, August and November) - Tournament to decide best of Battle.Net ladder. Top 200 from each region are invited to participate in a preliminary for a 16 man double elimination tournament. 4. Blizzard Cup (Ran in December) - Top 8 (of GSL ranking I'm guessing?) will be invited to decide the best player of the year in a Bo5 Playoff format tournament. Yeah i mean how do people get into GSL after GSL 3 is over. The other tournaments are clear it seems because it kinda works like blizzcon. But it seems that if you are not top 96 from GSL 1-3 then you can't participate in GSL 2011 at all? - 33rd-96th will become "Code A" players. - Code S players and Code A players earn the right to participate in the GSL 2011. - If a Code S player drops out before GSL 2011 starts, the top Code A player will fill the spot etc After each each GSL there is a promotion/demotion system where the bottom S-class players play the top A-class for S-class status for the next GSL. And the bottom A-class players play the top 32 in battlenet to determine the A-class status. How is the top 32 battlenet determined? Top 32 Blizzard ranking or Top 32 Point ranking. And what ladder? Korean only? They haven't clarified this yet. All this info is from this interview with the Gretech E-sports director: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=142000 My guess is that it's the Korean Ladder and it's based on blizzard's rankings.

Maybe if oGsMC doesn't play like garbage this time and Tester qualifies there may actually be at least 2 Protoss who go deep. NEXGenius and HongUnPrime are viable Protoss players who I believe are better than IrOn Neither Genius or HongUn has really impressed me in the GSL. I don't think Genius winning Blizzcon really means as much as people think it does. I don't agree. Have you seen blizzcon competitors? Being able to win a tournament when facing so many good players is definitely huge. + Show Spoiler + ![]()

I feel like promoting the behaviour of "hating" on people for beating a fan favoutite is wrong. Morrow played a completely abusive game on a unit that was imba so it was patched later. If morrow beat idra in a standard macro game, or even changed his build once during the series, i don't think he would have been flamed so much. Why would you not play the strongest build you possibly could to win the tournament? It's not like you're gonna play a weaker build just to "use other builds" but having a lesser chance of winning. That's a retarded statement saying that he didn't change his build once, why change a winning concept when you're playing for that kind of price money, don't think ANYONE would, and no, not even IdrA would, sorry to bust your bubble.

Players that are ranked 1st through 32nd will be set as Code S and players that are ranked 33rd through 96th will be set as code A. After a league, the lower ranks of Code S players and the upper ranks of Code A players will play a match to decide their position for the next league. Also, the bottom 32 Come A players will have to play against top 32 Battle.net players to decide the Code A players for the next season. ok thanks for all the info. anyway that is official : taken from http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=142000 Interview with : Gretech E-Sports Department Director Oh Joo Yang But it says bottom 32 CODE A players will have to play against top 32 battle net players for the NEXT SEASON. Does next season means end of 2011? or end of January / March /April/July /September There will be 12 tournaments throughout 2011, and there will be 4 types of tournaments. 1. GSL (Ran in January, March, April, July and September) - Main League. 32 Code S players tournament and 64 Code A players tournament. 2. Same happened when MorroW beat IdrA in IEM. The shit morrow got and still gets from hurt IdrA fans is ridiculous and a damned shame. I feel like promoting the behaviour of "hating" on people for beating a fan favoutite is wrong. I'm pretty sure TL.net doesn't pander to the gullible. If someone is dumb enough to actually seriously hate the guy, they would regardless. As for Idra fans, some of them (a vocal minority, to be sure) are Idra fans because they think of him as the king of bad manner and the personification of Zerg balance whining. Idra doesn't help the matter by constantly calling Morrow a shitty player, instead of being a man and admitting he lost. Every time someone beats a well regarded player they get absolutely roasted on here, and labelled gimmicky and cheesy. Although the censor joke is somewhat humorous, it is probably not a good idea to encourage it further because there are plenty of idiots on here who are easily influenced and set the bandwagon wheels in motion. You only have to look at the knee-jerk change in sentiment towards Foxer to see how laughably shallow the support is from some people. One day (after being on top of KR ladder for a month) he is a gimmicky, cheesy rookie, who lucked out against FD, and after beating half of the worlds best players the same people quickly jump on the bandwagon. Even if Aya is a very solid player (which he almost assuredly is, qualifying for the GSL), if he loses in the R64, we will undoubtedly have to listen to everyone talk about what a gimmicky noob he is. Actually IIRC most of us were shell shocked at his marine micro when he beat FD, and said his play was amazing vs FD's greedy standard expansion. It was mainly because a lot of us were liek WTF at his apparent change in skill between Ro64 and Ro32.
