Who am I kidding. They'll just say he had an easy group. GSL qualification says very little about a player. It is a fact that some groups are insanely hard and others aren't. If Huk gets matched up against Idra, Zenio and Tester and still qualifies everyone will recognize it as an accomplishment, but if he gets 2 byes, and 2 1500 diamond players who were just in the area, then he would be expected to qualify. Judge Huk by who he beats/loses to (and how), not by whether he qualifies or not.
You're forgetting that those two 1500 diamonds would have had to fight past other opponents from a broad field. Maybe GSL1 was like that (to some extent), but GSL 2 didn't have anything like that.
It is true that some paths to the Ro64 will be easier, but to say that in any situation there won't be a sense of accomplishment coming from it is simply ig'nant

Who am I kidding. They'll just say he had an easy group. Qualifying does not determine skill one bit. You need skill to qualify, but it does not show that someone who qualified is better than someone who does not. Eg. Tester who didn't qualify during S2 is still considered the best Toss.
While I agree for the most part with your post, I'm not sure we can call someone the *best* Toss if they don't qualify for GSL. Certainly the *best* Toss will at least make it into Ro64. Wouldn't SangHo be a better candidate for best Toss?
I'll be looking forward, by the way, to a thoughtful analysis of HuK's group, whether he wins or loses. No snap judgements on either side, ok?

I hope they can get some pics of Huk and Cella together. They're so funny when playing 2v2

Apple I think he was called. It would be an accomplishment for most players, but Huk is a good player and given an easy-to-medium group he really should qualify.
Anyway Ret fighting!

GSL2 had some really bad games in r64 and a few players were labeled 'bads' . However it turned out some of those players were Kyrix and Foxer :p

So, for these qualifiers, if you lose against a player in a bo3 you're out?

Come on Ret!
Anyone know who he's facing in the final round? Please let it not be a zerg.

im mentally prepared for no more foreigners to qualify, but words cannot describe how much i want all of TL + idra to qualify

I've never been a fan of the ridiculously unnatural hair colors. What do you think of something like this (yes horrible photoshop, I get it). It makes a statement, but doesn't look quite so silly IMO.

I still think the red hair looks really weird on Tasteless .
More to the match at hand though - Go Ret! :D
I'm very pleased with the showing of foreigners this season, and how well they seem to be doing so far. I'm really hoping that this is an indication of things to come .
