Seriously if you can't grasp this simple concept that any semi-decent RTS player could comprehend then why are you arguing? I don't get it.
Well, they did a vote about extended series and apparently 67% of people think it's an unfair advantage.
If the guy won the first game in a standard format why can't he win a second game? Especially if that winner has already lost once in a double elimination tournament. As others have pointed out, the extended series rule turns it into a double/triple elimination hybrid (had it been standard Tyler would have beaten PainUser just now 2-1).

You don't listen to State of the Game do you?

oh well, GG, 4th place is still nice I think nony is in favor of the winner of the WB getting an advantage. That's what he said in one of the SotG's Yeah... the winner of the WB... which Painuser is not. Sorry I wasnt clear. He's also in favor if two players played in the WB and face off again in the LB, the player who won in the WB should have an advantage. Though I feel like the first game MLG botched very well could have thrown nony off his mental game and was RIDONCULOUS Then you should have said that. Nony said he was in favor of the winner of the WB having an advantage because that's how ALL double elim tournaments work. You took what Tyler said out of context and tried to apply it to your own viewpoint. Tyler, and most people who have used or watched double elim tournaments throughout the years, know that the winner of the WB should have an adv b/c it's double elim and so in the grand finals if there is an undefeated player, that person needs to lose two series to be eliminated. MLG's system uses the, "oh we're going to give people random advantages that make no sense camp so instead of a double elim tournament we're going to have a TRIPLE ELIM tournament" That is why people are upset. MLGs rules bastardized a perfectly fine double elim tournament setup and turned it into a double elim/triple elim hybrid. I don't think this argument could be explained more clearly or cogently than this. Well said. No, he is incorrect. Tyler specifically mentioned winning 3-0 in the WB and then being knocked out 2-3 in LB by the same player despite having a positive win record against him.
If the winner of a tournament has a negative win-loss record against another player in the tournament, is he really the winner?

They deleted the poll lol

Wait is it just me or do the polls say who will win between TT1 and Jinro? Are they assuming that TT1 will beat PainUser?

How is it 100% fair? Please explain your reasoning. As I view it , it is very unfair for any player that does not face the same opponent in LB as in WB. I'm sure everyone would love to have extra chances.

The only thing bad about the extended series is the finals and later tournament games might not as exciting for the viewers if they played before, but it is 100% fair.

awu25 Having the first game taken from you in the best of a 3 series in the WINNERS BRACKET doesn't qualify as being "screwed"?
Then please explain to me what does
